I agree that most of the surprises have been spoiled but there are still a few things I’m excited to find out. Moon Music - nobody seems to have any idea what this is and the leak community are keeping real quiet about it. All the opening songs on Coldplay albums (not including interludes) have been really strong, so I hope that trend continues. AH/AR - how on earth is this 3 in 1 thing going to work? How will Neon Forest fit in? Is Angel Song really as beautiful as people say? This is the track I’m most hyped for if you couldn’t tell. One World - I’m expecting it to be similar to the live version but the 6:47 runtime raises a few questions. Is this version significantly longer than the live one, and if so did they add an extra section? Or is there a hidden track (I kinda hope not but we’ll see) The other song we don’t really know that much about is Jupiter. The demo snippets (which didn’t reveal a ton) aren’t really relevant anymore as the song has been rearranged and the lyrics have been changed. I’m not super hyped for it though, the new lyrics are really off-putting to me.

September 21, 20241 yr I've listened to iAAM more than i should it's one of their best songs in the recent years but it was the song i was the most excited for when the album is out now I'm not that excited for the album. Do we know for sure that Max Martin produced this? I wouldn't be surprised if he's not or his input is very minimal like Coloratura

September 22, 20241 yr Author I asked the Coldplay Store support this but didn't get a useful answer. I bought the record and Notebook Edition CD, but the photos and description didn't make it clear when I bought it whether it was just the Notebook Edition CD or if it included the notebook itself. I assume it has both, but I don't want to be disappointed on the 4th.

It's really disappointing. I don't think there's been a Coldplay song that deserves a rewrite more than I Am A Mountain.

I think they are somewhere between fine and mediocre for a modern Coldplay song but definitely not the worst. Albeit, the instrumental makes me more forgiving towards the lyrics so I may be a bit biased.

As an example, "Everyone taking aim / Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain" has no meaning and he might as well be singing 'blah blah blah' in tune with the music. I can tell that they were going for something with the lyrics as I talked about in a previous post, but I feel like they got bored of working on it and filled up the song with words that sound cool to save time. Little thought was put into the lyrics - the lyrics of My Universe and Something Just Like This make more sense from a storytelling standpoint.

This era has been the worst by far in terms of lyrics tho the music and the tunes themselves are good

We can't ask for complex lyrics, and when they write a song with a powerful meaning, not be able to understand it. No matter how much they criticise you, no matter how much pain they cause you, you just have to keep going, or in this case, keep standing. Just like a mountain. Let it rain, let all those people, or those things, cause you pain. You will always persevere. We've heard Chris insist a thousand times that we should never give up. This song is the perfect musical representation of that message. The lyrics are simple, yes, but also powerful and relatable. We can all be a mountain in the face of adversity. The song is about people or things that are hurting you, but your answer is love. That's my interpretation. And I insist, I don't want to be rude to you. Everyone taking aim means that everyone is preparing to and working towards accomplishing their goals and achieving their dreams which follows up with Chris exclaiming let it rain which means like let the rain pour down on me as hard as it can, give me your toughest challenges it doesn't matter as I will conquer the challenges and I will accomplish my goals and achieve my dreams because just like a mountain I am unmovable. It has a very similar message to champion of the world in my opinion. Honestly after thinking about the lyrics for a bit, I take back the thing I said about them being between mediocre and fine.
