Albums you fall asleep to

Featured Replies

Not because they're boring, just because they relax you and give you good vibes... and because you just love lying in bed listening to them in the background

I just did it with Parachutes today. Put it on repeat and fell asleep... there's nothing like waking up to the sound of Coldplay.

What about you?

Oh, and Grace by Jeff Buckley is the ultimate album for that.

Iron Maiden - Rip out your spine (ep)

Very soothing.

albums that I consider very relaxing/soothing pretty much the whole way through:

The Album Leaf - "One Day I'll Be On Time"

Burt Bacharach - "Reach Out"

The Beach Boys - "Friends"

Boards of Canada - "In A Beautiful Place Out in the Country"

Brian Eno - "Apollo Atmospheres & Soundtracks"

Fragile State - "The Facts and the Dreams"

The Smashing Pumpkins - "Adore"

Yo La Tengo - "Summer Sun"

Zero 7 - "Simple Things"

And yes, I did just go through my collection alphabetically and pick those out. :P

Sigur Rós~()

Jeff Buckley~Grace

Turin Brakes~Ether Song

:)

If I have any music on at all when going to sleep, it has to be quiet, slow, and mellow, like the album I just put, because I have before to that one.

Another: Bringing On The Weather - Jackopierce

When I wanna feel relaxed I choose

- Turin Brakes (specially 'The road')

- Coldplay - Parachutes

- Sondre Lerche - Faces down

- David Gray - White Ladder

- Damien Rice

Man, I could never fall asleep listening to kid a, cos it is so.. hmm.. scary. like, trying to sleep listening to the national anthem's sax. whoa.

i fall asleep to anything. if i'm listening to music i'm out like in a second.

Massive Attack Mazzine

Man' date=' I could never fall asleep listening to kid a, cos it is so.. hmm.. scary. like, trying to sleep listening to the national anthem's sax. whoa.[/quote']

well, some of the tracks are exceptions (national anthem, optimistic, idioteque).

But then you've got How To Disappear Completely, Motion Picture Soundtrack, Kid A, Everything In Its Right Place. It's a very relaxing album.

oh I forgot Damien Rice  :P

- Sondre Lerche - Faces

I can say it has that effect ..

The first track does it all

Sondre Lerche ruleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!!!! :D

Damien Rice - O

Coldplay - Parachutes

Norah Jones' 1st album.... :D

:snore:

I fell asleep when I first listened to bell X1~music in mouth :)

I thought about Gomez, but I don't think I could ever really fall asleep with them on, because for every "Rosalita" or "Tijuana Lady" you're going to have a "She's fine but been arooooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnd" blaring in your ear.

lol!!

But tracks like "blue moon rising" and "we haven't turned around" are just :snore: mmmm!!! :D
