February 18, 201016 yr Sigur Ros moved up to my second favorite band behind Radiohead today. Just thought you guys might want to know that. :D so long as Radiohead stays at #1  :P
February 18, 201016 yr  () is sooooooo amazing... I might just have to buy it Friday... everytime I go to Hastings I see it, it's the only copy and I'm so motivated to purchase it but I always find something else... :bomb: Don't fret, tonight has changed my mind.... It will be purchased! I also don't worry cos I know these Arkansans don't know shit about good music so I'm not worried about someone taking it before me  ! ( ) is such an amazing album!
February 18, 201016 yr I got ( ) for the music prize last year. Apparently my teacher asked my friends what album I wanted but didn't have :cheesy:
February 18, 201016 yr Alight so I'm looking to buy one of the bows that Jónsi uses..Where can I find one and would I be a complete copycat for buying one?
February 18, 201016 yr Alight so I'm looking to buy one of the bows that Jónsi uses..Where can I find one and would I be a complete copycat for buying one? Yes. Do your own thing!
February 19, 201016 yr Yes. Do your own thing! Come on I bet you can come up with some crazy new sounds with that thing. :wink3:
February 19, 201016 yr Alight so I'm looking to buy one of the bows that Jónsi uses..Where can I find one and would I be a complete copycat for buying one? its a cello bow. Its harder than it looks though, me and my R.A. tried working it out with his guitar and his sister's bow. The sound is awesome, but its tricky to control.
February 19, 201016 yr its a cello bow. Its harder than it looks though, me and my R.A. tried working it out with his guitar and his sister's bow. The sound is awesome, but its tricky to control. hmm... i always thought it would be interesting to try and get those sounds that people like Jonsi and Jimmy Page were able to. Why is it hard to control?
February 19, 201016 yr Well, a bow isn't really made to be used on guitar strings, so it takes some time to get a consistent, droney sound out of all the friction. Works much better on gibson's obviously.
February 19, 201016 yr oh ok... i've always thought it'd be cool to try that out one day... i've been tempted to buy a violin/cello bow

February 19, 201016 yr Yeah, Cello bows are the best. You have to put a lot of that Rosin or whatever stuff on the bow so it can actually grip the strings. I've used my brother's violin bow a couple of times but it doesn't work too well
February 19, 201016 yr Come on I bet you can come up with some crazy new sounds with that thing. :wink3: Grease up your dick and go wild! :D
February 19, 201016 yr Viðrar vel til loftárása is a lovely song! :wacky: The video is really sad, though /random Sigur Ros input of the day
February 20, 201016 yr I'm going to give ( ) to my father for his birthday *checks time* tomorrow.
February 20, 201016 yr :D I don't like Von :disappointed: I dunno if that makes me a failed fan... I just can't get into it... I was gonna give it another chance sometimes soon but I'm just MEH. ^I agree  except I'd probably have Med sud... before Takk...
February 20, 201016 yr I haven't listened to Von yet. I have it on cd, but haven't had a chance to listen to it
February 20, 201016 yr I haven't listened to Von that much, but I can't get into it either. It's just so.. weird. :D I do like the Hvarf/Heim versions of the song Von though (especially the Heim one :awesome:). Með suð is kind of short. :(
