busybeeburns
Sigur Ros' Jonsi cancels US instore dates Management reveal the intimate setting was 'the most uncomfortable experience of his ten years in the public eye' Sigur Ros' Jonsi has cancelled the remaining instore shows on his current tour of North America. The frontman was due to play six acoustic shows, but after his gig at Los Angeles' Origami Vinyl on Sunday (October 17), he has pulled the rest of the shows. His management stated that the intimate setting was "the most uncomfortable experience of his ten years in the public eye". "Jonsi was always sceptical about how it [the instore shows] would pan out in reality," his management said in a statement on his official website, Jonsi.com. "Standing there nose-to-nose with fans in the cold light of day the other day in Origami Records, Los Angeles, he had the sudden and undeniable realisation that this is not the environment in which he flourishes." "Arguably it was the most uncomfortable experience of his ten years in the public eye," they continued. "And as a result we are unwilling to put him in the line of fire again." The rest of Jonsi's headline shows in support of his debut solo album 'Go', will still take place as planned. The cancelled instore shows are as follows: Salt Lake City, UT Slowtrain (Instore) (22) Austin, TX End Of An Ear (Instore) (26) Asheville, NC Harvest Records (Instore) (30) Atlanta, GA Criminal Records (Instore) (31) Chicago, IL Reckless Records (Instore) (3) Jonsi will play: Salt Lake City, UT The Complex (October 22) Tempe, AZ The Marquee (23) Grand Prairie, TX Verizon Theatre (25) Austin, TX Austin Music Hall (26) Houston, TX Verizon Music Theater (27) New Orleans, LA Voodoo Festival (29) Asheville, NC Moogfest (30) Atlanta, Georgia The Tabernacle (31) St. Louis, MO The Pageant (November 2) Chicago, IL Vic Theatre (3) Detroit, MI The Fillmore (5) Columbus, OH Newport Music Hall (6) Washington, D.C 9:30 Club (8, 9) New York, NY Hammerstein Ballroom (11) Jonsi will also play a one-off show at London's Hammersmith Apollo on November 26. http://www.nme.com/news/jonsi/53538

fietssleutel
Make sure you watch the docu Heima because pretty much every song on it beats the album version. As for songs, here are a few suggestions, but I would just start listening to their entire discography if I were you. Although you might not want to start with Von because it's really strange. Heysátan Ágætis Byrjun Von Flugufresarinn Hjartað Hamast (Bamm Bamm Bamm) Ný Batterý Starálfur Untitled 1-8 (from the ( ) album)
