  1. Very sad news indeed. :( I really liked her. My friend went to see her a couple of years ago and she radomly started crying on stage and I was hoping to see her someday when she's better. It's such a waste, she was so young and talented. RIP :(
  2. Exactly! They only showed the songs that people are gonna know anyway but that's ITV for you! Missed half of it thanks them and Coldplaying didn't load at first. (I obviously should have checked this earlier but still.) Anyway, it was a great show from what I've seen. Looking forward to watching the whole of it tomorrow. Thanks a lot!
  3. Thanks! Same. They were talking about Justin Bieber for ages. Wasn't impressed, they advertised this as a Coldaplay concert as well.
  4. Where are you watching this? I'm watching ITV2. I thought they'd be showing the whole concert but they're also showing the Wombats and loads of other stuff.
  5. I agree, those type of experiences kind of stop you from trusting people you meet online. Something very strange happened on an internet forum on which I posted regularly back in 2005/6. A friend of a guy, who was a regular poster on this forum opened a thread saying that his friend had committed suicide and apparently he asked him to let people on the forum know. Many members of the forum actually met this guy in real life as he went to a few forum meet ups and they were in regular contact with him. Although many people were very upset when they first heard the news, they started to question it rather soon because several people received abusive messages from his email address on msn. Someone somehow contacted the local council (where you have to be registered in Germany, I think) and they found out that this guy was still alive. I never met him in person but I spoke to him a couple of times on msn and I believed the whole story and I was rather upset about it. This guy's clearly got some issues and I do feel sorry for him but this definitely taught be more careful in the future.
  6. I think Lord Sugar wanted to work with him right from the beginning. He got through for what he did in the past rather for how he did in the show. He seems like a nice guy though so good luck to him. I wanted Jim to him. I know he came across as quite arrogant but there's something about him that I like. Anyway I'm sure all four finalists will do well in the future.
  7. It's not that simple though, it it? Just because someone's shy doesn't mean they're gonna be faithful and caring. I don't agree with Lory either by the way, it's obviously not true that all guys are players and neither are all girls after a serious relationship. It just annoys me that it's often seen as socially acceptable for guys to sleep around, but if a girl does the same she's a 'slut'.
  8. I definitely wouldn't make a good housewife. I once had to clean the shop windows at work and it took me forever and they actually looked worse than before. My manager had a go at me because apparently, a woman my age is supposed to be good at cleaning. :dozey: My housemate really annoys me because he always leaves the housework to his girlfriend. He doesn't do any cooking or cleaning, he wouldn't even wash his own dishes. I could never go out with a guy like him.
  9. Does sexism/ do gender stereotypes still exist in today's society?
  10. I was the same when I was your age. I lived in a small village and didn't have much in common with the people I went to school with so I spent a lot of time on my own. I think it gets a lot easier to make friends once you move to a bigger city/ go to university because you're more likely to meet people with similar interests.
  11. That's ridiculous! They probably just tried to find the craziest people in the North East and most viewers won't be able to tell the difference anyway. :dozey:
  12. It is! Popcorn is supposed be a quite healthy snack but my friend looked into when she was on diet last year and she found out that a bag of popcorn you buy at the cinema can have over 1000 calories.
  13. I haven't watch it. Where are they from?
  14. I prefer to buy it from somewhere else because the popcorn you get in cinemas is often full of fat.
  15. Aren't they supposed to be running a club in town? This would actually make it worse because some viewers might think it's just normal people when it isn't really because most Liverpudlians wouldn't want to be associated with the programme.
  16. I watched the trailer, awful programme. Off course it's gonna reinforce negative stereotypes but I'm sure most people will realise that it isn't exactly a documentary.
  17. Good. How old is be by the one? Just wondering because you said his girlfriend was very young.
  18. It's not your fault at all. It's completely normal that you wanted to take your time and get to know him first. He may have felt that it isn't really going anywhere since you haven't kissed or anything but he isn't worth it if that's how you sees it. And even if you had, he probably would have treated you the same way and it might have hurt you even more. I think you can't expect him not to see other people since you weren't going out but surely he should have told you even if he just saw you as a friend.
  19. I'd only mention it to a few friends and family members but I guess people would get suspicious.
  20. I might have found a flat.
  21. Just tell her that you like her but that you've had a bad break up and that you're not ready for a serious relationship. She'll most likely be upset but it's only gonna get worse if you wait any longer. You need to make sure that the girls you're dating know what you're after otherwise they will end up getting hurt.
  22. Mooncups are supposed to be really good but they scare me.
  23. They're really pretty. I especially like the blue one.
