went to their gig in Irvine last week. me loved it a lot :smug2: if only i could go to Vegoose to see them again, and Daft Punk, The Shins, Lupe Fiasco, Thievery Corporation, and RATM! :bigcry:

i was cleaning out my closet space in my room when i dug out my Coldplay concert memorabilias (X&Y tour book, ticket, keychain). i can't wait for their new album either!! and it's been a loooong time since i came back on this forum... :)

the other day i had twisted logic stuck in my head while reading one hundred years of solitude.

good lord, same here. i nabbed tickets to the same concert, but the seats i have are so lousy (waaaaaay in the back corner). what gets me real ticked is that most of the loge seats are reserved for American Express Gold Card users (:veryangry2:). but anyway, i'm using my tix for backup and if i'm fortunate i'll be getting better ones when the gig date gets closer. otherwise i'll settle. :\

I'm not surprised. In one of his songs (I think it was "LoveStoned" or some interlude to another song), the music cuts to a guitar playing chords so similar to Coldplay's style (and it sounded nice too, I think). And didn't JT say Coldplay was "the best band ever" or something? I know I read that somewhere (bleh can't remember the source >.<" )

Heheheh I guess I'm the only one around here excited about Beckham's move to Los Angeles. :sweatdrop: It's a bit out of my way, but I find myself optimistic about this news. I loooooooove soccer, and it's so unpopular over here in America. All I wish is that Beckham do SOME good for this sport so hopefully there will be more respect towards it. That and, along with his family, stay far far away from Scientology activities!

At my dentist's office yesterday, I found an advertisement/promotional page (from People magazine?? The issue also featured a bunch of celebrities and quotes and such...can't remember exactly though) for the Grammy's and it featured a quote by Coldplay. Supposedly they said that the Grammys were not all about who sold the most records or who made the most money (blah blah blah), but an award to honor those who worked the hardest and achieved in creativity and production; to also honor those working "behind the scenes." To that, I thought "...YOU WISH. There is not enough justice in the world." :dozey:

Even if I could only manage to get ONE ticket would be enough for my own birthday gift! But anyway, I got four tickets, so my best friends could go too. That sums up to $200-ish (and endless memories!) As for the travel distance...10 miles! Heehee :sweatdrop:

I listen to Coldplay occasionally now, because the songs seem more depressing to me more than ever. Maybe because now I feel happier where I am (as of state). Whenever I do listen to them, I tend to get lost in those amazing melodies for a little while before confronting whatever's bothering me. I don't know...call it my "cool off" time, I guess. The music's there to help me release my emotion, until I'm tired of it (like screaming inside your pillow, until your throat hurts and tired of being mad). :P
