  1. fuck....not allowed to use the house phone! guess i'll just have to rely on my cellphone. aaaaggghhh all i want is tickets to the concert! i don't mind too much about the house gig (cause then i'd have to meticulously clean the whole house until it's spotless!). *edit* and they're not going to step into my room. it's too embarassing xD
  2. whaat?!?! what happened to "winners will be announced on June 5th?" deal?! ooooo false advertising!! *sigh* like i was going to win tickets anyway, LoL.
  3. oh man!! to have Coldplay playing at my house, (my house) ;) ....well, i'm off to listen to KROQ 24/7 once again. if only they weren't such bastards and let the REAL fans win!
  4. fudge...tickets are EXPENSIVE :( but i really want to go! i have San Jose as my backup, should something goes wrong this Saturday (ugh). psh, LA crowds have it good yet we still like to remain uptight. :embarassed::rolleyes:
  5. *salutes*
  6. *sigh* some of the loud-mouthed Radiohead fans at the At Ease Web site can be such jerks/assholes/and so forth. always have to prove their intellect, correctness...gets annoying at times with their pretentiousness. you can't really stop what others have to bash about Coldplay or any band; they'll always be a critic that has a differing view on what is 'good' or a narrow-minded individual taking the piss out on anything, and then there's that whole "freedom of speech" reasoning too. only if it gets agressive and seeps into our 'territory', then that'll be the time to step in. otherwise, leave those rude Radiohead fans and their thoughts in their precious, happy little hole. no need to be causing more problems, even if they started it in the first place.
  7. okay what the heck?! DO NOT be comparing this performance to Britney Spears' "comeback" flop! coldplay's performance wasn't that bad; i thought it was pretty good, although it did surprise me how their setup was minimal and more backtracks were used. plus it's the first time they performed this song live, so after a few more run throughs and performances the should be more top-notch. still good...much better than the Talk performance at the '06 Grammys. and whoever said that the reason why the crowd wasn't into it b/c MTV hasn't really taught people to appreciate 'good music'...gets a cookie. that is fact. :) it's MTV in America after all. if there needs to be more crowd involvement, a few bathroom jokes and scantily-clad women will do fine. *edit* my cousins got to wave to the guys on the red carpet. :bomb: [/rant]
  8. thanks :) what's killing me the most is that MY COUSINS are going to the event, in which they'll get to be around for the red carpet entrance and the show. and, of course, i can't go. *jealouuuuusss* :evil2:
  9. if they are....then i'm seriously fucked. :bigcry:
  10. "lemme see those magical balls!!" god help me if somebody yells this at a gig...
  11. i'm confused...in the rules it states that entrants must be 18 years or older, but at the bottom of the entry form it asks if you're at least 21 and up. the heck?
  12. lately Jay-Z's music has gotten some jazz and 'rock-ish' edge incorporated into. maybe it won't be so bad...? :\ true, Jay-Z is a risky move to be headlining the festival...but honestly i don't think hip-hop should be excluded from the festival, given from the tone of his statements there, and given that they tried getting Kylie Minogue to headline (as we know, a POP act). makes sense about the money thing too. and for Glastonbury to be opening doors for other genres...that's kind of cool since it's a HUGE festival and there's more varieties to PICK AND CHOOSE from. on a side note: those Gallagher brothers annoy the f*ck out of me whenever they open their loud mouths to speak out their narrow-minded thoughts.
  13. ahhh i see it now....yeah it is out of sync.
  14. from the apple site? cause that one seems to work fine...?
  15. gah....time for a new computer background indeed! and avi. may sig too. ugh. look what all the colors have done to me :dozey:
  16. OMG the second one!! :D (darn, Chris IS wearing a shirt underneath the jacket...oh well)
  17. COLDPLAY gets the honor of being my first. -Muse -Foo Fighters -Tokyo Police Club -Justice -Coachella Festival 08' ---Rogue Wave ---Vampire Weekend ---Tegan and Sara ---Goldfrapp ---Death Cab For Cutie ---Jack Johnson ---The Verve ---The Raconteurs ---Cut Copy ---Rilo Kiley ---Jens Lekman ---Portishead ---Prince and zomg, Radiohead, this August!
  18. i got to see them perform at Coachella... ...and i have to say that they're just 'okay.' there's been too much hype over them, i guess. :\
  19. OMG!! funny that my house phone and cellphone rang off almost simultaneously during American Idol...people were calling me to tell me about the commercial  oh man oh man, i can't stop watching it! the aesthetics were brilliantly done, and.....gah the song's amazing. i wonder how long will it take for me to snap out of it after hearing "Viva la Vida" on 'chronic' repeat. :laugh3: ((*cough* Chris IS wearing a shirt underneath the jacket, right? LMAO honestly, i can't tell... ))
  20. audience-participation things?! well other than the given sing-alongs, could that mean picking out a few members of the crowd to go sit on stage (like that one time....)....:stunned:
  21. if you look on the tour dates, there's a big gap between July 12th (Phoenix, AZ) and July 19th (Las Vegas, NV). SoCal gigs will HAVE to happen then. makes sense with timing and the route of the tour. :D or else.... :veryangry2:
  22. I LOVE YOU ALL! ^sorry...I'm happy that the full video is available for viewing :) Thoughts after viewing the video: -Wow it looks weird. Choppy and shaky. -Chris, why so violent??? Hammers are not toys, you know. :( -WILL! LIFT WITH YOUR LEGS, NOT WITH YOUR BACK DAMNIT! -What's up with the piano scenes? LoL I say that's the place in the song is now mandatory for headbanging  -And the ending...Chris was close to falling on the rock! :dead:
  23. MTV overseas is great. Got to discover new music (and also see some good Muse clips!). MTV where I live is shiet. All filler, no Muse. Then again, I also don't have premium/digital cable... <3 HAARP! The second half drives me insane. I'd kill to have been there in person!
  24. As a few mentioned already, it's refreshing to hear something new instead of the same-old sounds and materials. I believe many artists before that have succeeded in their field of work chose to seek out new discoveries and go beyond their current abilities. Times change and so do the mindset of everything else... Anyway, good for Coldplay to be venturing out in that kind of direction (although they still have yet to stray FAR from their "typical style." At least for now you won't be (too) bored with them. ((Don't forget, the rest of the album has yet ot be released! Who knows...some of us could be right/wrong about it all. :dozey:))
