The "things I wish I could say" thread
I wish people could understand that being quiet doesn't mean you're sad or depressed, neither that you loathe or despise everybody in the room.

Coldplay's Twitter
The fact that something was always done doesn't mean it's the best course of action. Anyway, it's not for me to say what they should be releasing, but I think we could do with some b-sides.

Member of the Month!!
I think it was intended as a way of celebrating the arcade being back. Even if it wasn't in full accordance with the initial guidelines of becoming MOTM, I think it was a good thing, since the arcade seems to play an important part of the forum (I say 'seems' just because I don't visit it myself, so I'm presuming its relevance) and, besides, it seems to have helped phantoneku to be more integrated here. Even if the original criteria wasn't 100% met, if the forum was somehow improved because a member felt more at home and people could have some fun trying to become a MOTM while being reminded that the arcade is back, I think it's a good outcome.

PoC video
Agreed. If boredom was supposed to mean something in the storyline, ok, but I don't think it was.

The "Unfunny" Jar
I congratulate you, Reilly, for saying something I didn't understand. Here is a coin for the jar. Is it good enough for you or you will start spreading it at other threads as well?

What made you happy today?
Learning a foreign language does require time, patience and dedication, but it's not impossible. It gets easier once you find decent textbooks. Hope you manage to have the time to learn it eventually :)

你好(Hello in Cantonese, pronounced "nay hoh")!
nǐ hǎo :D Glad you got to see Coldplay live. Hope you're fine now after having fainted. Welcome to the forum!

What made you happy today?
Finding a book about French inflection/verb forms. Hopefully, when I finish it, my performance at this kind of thing won't be so appalling.
-
What have you learned today?
Then, isn't it exactly what you're doing? At least I'm expressing my thoughts at the very same thread. Is there any need to mention specific names and be rude? There's a difference between that and straying to another thread and throw ideas around, I'd say.

What have you learned today?
If you mean to say something to a user here, isn't it better to say it straight to the person in question instead of complaining about it elsewhere? It won't get matters resolved.

The Official Phil is Hot thread (now known as the greet Phil thread :P)
I see. Thanks for the info. People should do whatever they want with their tumblrs, but posting photos of babies (very likely to be private, though I emphasise I'll take back my words if it's not) is overstretch the boundaries of freedom of speech. Thanks, Imke! Thank you for your understanding, Chloe :)

Small Reminders/Updates & The Coldplay Messenger (feat. Roadie #42!)
Wow! It's Jonny's special edition, it seems. Not that I'm complaining :P The lasers and the round screens look awesome!

The official **KEANE** thread
It is official. If you head over to Keane's website, the dates are right there: http://www.keanemusic.com/keane-live-view.php?id=656 http://www.keanemusic.com/keane-live-view.php?id=655 Thanks for the info anyway :D I don't understand though what is this event that Maroon 5 is headlining along to Keane.

The Official Phil is Hot thread (now known as the greet Phil thread :P)
Bow tie oe not, if that photo wasn't taken specifically to be shared amongst fans (if it was, for example, posted on a personal facebook or the like), in my opinion, it's wrong to post a photo of a baby here. If the photo was meant to be public in that extent, I'll gladly retrieve what I said and apologise.

Father's day is fast approaching
It seems the store is hers or something. Is disguising advertising in posts banning-worth?

PoC video
This isn't Rihanna's official twitter. It's run by a fansite.

What's the weather like today in your town?
Way too hot for mid-autumn.

Brasil?
São Paulo, essa cidade tranqüila e amigável.

What are you thinking right now?
Oh, that seems nice. Thanks, Tracie! Now, I only have to sort out upcoming time issues.

What are you thinking right now?
You mean here? Just copy and paste the url of the video. For example, say you want to post that old video of Chris playing an acoustic version of Trouble. Find it and copy its link here. If it's a youtube video, it'll be automatically embedded in your post once you click 'submit reply'. Don't post a shortened version of the link, that is, don't post something like http://youtu.be/AJN7_Z4lnwo because this will only show up as a link instead of "turning it into" an embedded video, which is what happens when you post the video link in its entirety. Sorry I lack the appropriate terms to explain it, but I hope it'll do. ----- edit: what I'm thinking right now: geez, I've missed the House MD marathon yesterday. It was the only time available for me (it was either that or watching it at 1am) to watch the last episodes of eighth season and I friggin' missed it.

Coldplay's Twitter
Just reading it now, but it's ok. I enjoyed their answers a lot, even the food-related and the ones about 'your favourite [something]'. It's nice to get to know these small pieces of information. It's almost like getting closer to people you admire so much (and who feel a bit distant (because you look up to them) for that). Besides that, a lot of their answers were actually very interesting. Thanks a lot, Tash, for posting them here (says the lazy person who didn't feel like heading over to twitter).

The Muse Thread - Hate This & I'll Hate You
Now they've carried the Olympic torch, could they please say something about the new album?

PoC video
I think there's no such a thing as 'we should...'. We can't predetermine what we will feel while watching it just because it's Coldplay. It's irrational and, as a matter of fact, it'd belittle what we actually enjoy and appreciate about the band. If we just sit and enjoy whatever they deliver, there will be no difference between what truly moved us and what didn't at all - and all the shades of grey in between.
