  1. yep cant believe they havent had a no1 before this. but this makes up for it (kinda) lol. yyyyyeeeeeeyyyyyy!!!!! and swallowed in the sea definatly should of been released as a single :D
  2. this is definatly one of coldplays more trickier songs to work out the lyrics to lol
  3. yes definatly the best song of the album. when i heard it for the first time i was almost in tears, i had the biggest smile on my face anyones ever seen. its beautiful. im a little dissapointed that they released it early. imagine listening to the album for the first time thinking yer this is awsome, and then viva la vida comes on and completely blows every other song out the water by miles. that would have been some moment. it is a perfect song, it glides effortlessly along and slips into chorus and verse. the build up is amazing, to when they scream out oooohh ooooh oooooh ooooh ooooh. and the change of the speed of the strings when the verse of... "It was the wicked and wild wind..... kicks in. its very rare that you'll find a more perfect song. and it is beyond doubt one of the best songs coldplay have ever written, and i doubt they will ever write better. and if they do, well then were in for a treat. :D
  4. does someone want to comment on his profile and just tell him what a shit jobs hes done and that hes killed a great song by doing a fucking awful job of rapping. personally i think we should get to rip his voice box out. or just make him listen to opera then he'd just kill himself anyways.
  5. its gotta be an iconic video as the scientist is. and just as beautiful. cos it is a PERFECT song and deserves a perfect video.
  6. its such a positive summery song. i can just imagine listening to it on a hot summers day in the middle of a field somewhere with my girlfriend surrounded by bales of hay lol
  7. the best bit of this song is actually when chris stops singing i think lol.
  8. id love to listen to this song on a warm summers day sitting watching the world go by. i think its a song with purpose. its definatly a cheery happy song. so it would be great to listen to after something hasnt gone right for you or your not feeling too happy. cos this songs just picks up your mood and gives you a sense of direction.
  9. beautiful. such a gorgeous song i hope they stick it on a b-side, but separatley so its not actually attached to DAAHF. then i can listen to it all on its own :D :D :D
  10. wow what a great lil gig. thought the acoustic version of yellow was amazing, it was soo intimate and delicate which is why no one sang along to it, which was brilliant. i think lost started out a bit dodgey. sounded great but chris's voice didnt really go with it, but then the guitars n that kicked in and it was one of the best songs there. also i think 42 sounded better. probably cos there wernt those indian strings in it. loved it when he started singing about helicopters though lmao, brilliant gig. got it recorded.
  11. i normally hate it when bands do this. mainly because one of the songs i think is good and the other is shit. all of the ones on this album are great so i dont mind listening to both and somehow it just fits with the album. although i do find it a little bit annoying that if you want to listen to a particular track you have to wizz through one of them. it just would of been more convienent to have them seperate. but it does work. lol :D
  12. its sort of a refrence to the meaning of life. as its used in 'the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy' as the answer to the question.... what is the meaning of life.
  13. i dont think it is a better effort. Be Here Now is a great album, some of the tracks on there are brilliant. if you mean they deserve it more than oasis did when releasing Be Here Now then yes they do. since noel was doing so much drugs back then. while coldplay have actually worked and worked on it, without the use of drugs. although i do hope it does amazing aswell :D

i like the cardboard case. enviromentally friendly :D n i bought it for £9.97 or something. but i cudnt care less. i would have bought it if it was £30. after i get paid obviously. lol
  15. this is exactly what i was thinkin today the first time i listened to it. came on here an everyones thinking the same thing. arcade fire are great. theres quite a few songs on here that definatly songs like other songs of other bands. like 42's start reminds me very much of the beatles.
  16. yer no bad thing being the next U2. personally id love them to go back to the sound of their first album, id love another album like that, and then back to their present style. and btw, VLV, what a song. screams a movie soundtrack all over it. same style as who put the weight of the world on my shoulders by Oasis. jst the most massive song ever, that would fit perfectly at the end credits of a movie. as WPTWOTWOMS did.
  17. kind of a biased place to put this question, heh. :)
  18. i saw the rascals when i went to see the courteeners down in southampton a few months ago (the rascals were supporting them) and tbh none of us were that impressed by them, they had one tune that i thought was pretty good apart from that we just wanted the courteeners to get on. and he is very alex turner like, i remember saying that while watching him. although then i didnt know he was half of the last shadow puppets.
  19. i agree about politik im not too keen on it up untill 2:55, then its just the most beautiful ending to a song your ever likely to hear. its a complete contrast to the whole rawness of the song. truely spine chilling.
  20. 62 fix you 22 talk - 33 speed of sound 7 swallowed in the sea + i personally think swallowed in the sea is brilliant :)
