Is There a Coldplay Song You Just Can't Stand?!
Theres only two songs I never listen to. "A spell a Rebel yell". The worst song they've ever written. And..."Cemeteries of London"...I know I know everybody loves it but I just cant. The lyrics are nice, I'll give them that, but the song itself is just not good. And it sounds ridiculously like U2. Now if you like U2 that may not bother you, but I have never been a fan, and I have never before felt Coldplay really sounded like them, despite what critics said, but with this song that changed. Everything else believe it or not is just varying degrees of really good with me lol.

13-Jul-09: Shoreline Amphitheater, San Francisco, CA - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews, Setlists
Not from where I'm sitting. Currently I'm in possesion of lawn seats. I'm desperately hoping to find something better thats not outrageously expensive before July. I'm just so annoyed. There are still seats left for Sac, but not 1 for shoreline?

14-Jul-09: Sleep Train Amphitheater, Sacramento, CA - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews, Setlists,
Anybody have a guess as to what happened to sections 1, 2, and 3. I haven't heard of anyone getting a seat there in the pre, or general sale, and theres no sign of them on ebay or any site like stubhub....its just kinda strange. We got section 112 and I was happy enough with that compared to the shoreline, but I still find it odd that all the best seats just aren't around?

Your Ticket Issues: Pricing; Availability; Seats etc (previously titled presales are bull)
I have to respectfully disagree with you here. Lately all tickets for high demand areas they are playing are selling out what few decent seats they have during pre-sale. A good example was the shoreline amphitheater in SF California. I didn't even attempt pre-sale and the second they went on sale all options except lawn were removed. Thats right, you weren't even given an option to look for better. Something like 2 days later the option to search came back up, but they say they are sold out completly. Now with areas where the demand to see them might be less like Sacramento for example, it was easier to snag a just mildly crappy seat. But I have seen no indications of people having better luck on the general sales. At least not on this leg of the tour. I know last summer it was a hell of a lot easier to get a ticket. And even the scalpers weren't charging as much.

Saw them on Saturday- Had not realised how brilliant they are
I love X&Y far more than Viva, so your not alone. Glad you enjoyed the show.

Songs You Want To Hear!
Shiver One I love. And just more from X&Y in general. And I really really want them to plug talk back into its full Electric glory. That song just rocks, but the version they play ruins it. I really like the Twisted logic tour, because a lot of the songs sounded more rock than on the albums, on this tour everything is sped up and poppier.

27-Feb-2009: Burswood Dome, Perth, Australia - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews, Setlists, Photos
Great Photos!! Oh I wish the guys would go back to wearing regular clothes at the shows. They look so much more like the band I love without the dorky costumes lol.

14-Mar-09: Coldplay to play Sydney Bushfire Benefit Show, Sydney, Australia [Live broadcast Triple J
lol that was pretty cool, I have a feeling he got a little more than he bargained for there but ... I kinda feel for the guy. I mean his celebrity level is such that its hard for him to do the interaction stuff, but he seems like a naturally really sociable and fun guy so maybe just once he wanted to do something on a whim lol. I don't think he'll be trying that again any time soon though. Kinda reminded me of the Twisted Logic Tour, when everything wasn't so choreographed.

Pre-Sale For New USA Dates?
For every show I've ever bought for, pre-sale is no more than 4 tickets per customer.

14-Jul-09: Sleep Train Amphitheater, Sacramento, CA - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews, Setlists,
Well right now if you ask for 3 tickets its already pulling up lawn, so my guess is thats exactly whats going to happen. I think its really wrong that they release ALL the seats at presale. What about people who work Friday mornings and don't have the luxury of taking the time to do this. It really seems like concerts are fast becoming an activity exclusively for the wealthy. I think the whole ticketing system needs a complete revamp. It wasn't this bad on the X&Y tour. Hell it wasn't this bad last summer.

Anybody know if the pre-sale password is the same for this show as it was shoreline? I didnt take advantage last time but I might try this time.

13-Jul-09: Shoreline Amphitheater, San Francisco, CA - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews, Setlists
We might. My dad and I were actually contemplating going to an Oregon show, as we have extended family up there, but I'd really rather get a ticket here if possible. So we will be looking into Sac for sure.

wow I just bought 4 lawn seats (well my dad bought 4 lawn seats) but umm yeah there was no option for anything else. That is a complete rip off. I'm going to try to get him to spring for something better but we'll see. I didn't want to risk not going at all...maybe we can sell them if we find something better.

Wow... Well my and the fam are going to try for tickets, I think we might just wait for the general sale day, as I've heard pre-sale is a big disappointment. I think I'm going to try my luck standing in line. We live in a small area, and frankly trying to buy online tickets last summer got me stuck in the nosebleed section, and I have high speed and all that. If I'm first or second in line, do you think I'll have a chance at a 1/2 way decent ticket or a ticket at all??

Coldplay @ GRAMMY Awards 2009 | Performed Lost & Viva La Vida | WON 3 AWARDS! [PICTURES/VIDEOS IN FI
Oh man. I'm sorry that rendition is crap, and if nobody was picking up on the single what makes them think people would want to hear it live...oh well maybe they'll change their minds.

Coldplay to perform @ 2009 MusiCares person of the year gala, Los Angeles, Feb. 6
All I have to say is ....YEAH!!!! Normal freaking clothes!!!! I know Chris's shirt is still funky, but I'm just so relieved the others aren't in those ridiculous monkey outfits. I suppose it would be too much to ask for them to dress normally at the grammy's too, as thats televised lol.

06-Feb-09: Anchorman's Big Announcement Party Thread (North America Tour dates 2009)
Wow, this couldn't have come at a worse time for me lol. I want to go to Sanfran but I'm tapped out, and with only a week before tickets go on sale... I guess theres always prayer lol.

Coldplay's use of Backing Tracks: good or bad?
I don't mind it here and there in a concert. I know they used them in the twisted logic tour, but the live instrumentation was heavy enough to overpower it...not so on this tour. If I cant tell where the cd stops and the live show begins, theres too much tape. Thats just how I feel, and a couple times during the show I knew they were playing the cd louder than they had the band turned up. Thats a no no for me, especially at those ticket prices. It doesn't help that every song was played very stream line either, unlike in past tour there was very little festive embellishment of the songs which reiterated just how not live sections were.
