I am so surprised it´s 320 kbps! When I wrote to them, they told me it would only be 160 and I replied saying how disappointed I was about that and that I thought they should at least match iTunes quality. They not only matched it, but exceeded it! Well done! I am glad they listen to the fans. :)

Still waiting on the pop-up download email, however I popped in the local store to pick up two copies for my friend and my mum (I am sure either one will let me keep one of the CDs until December!) . Now I can say I have Mylo Xyloto! Can´t wait to hear it in a short while, with a nice cup of tea!

The album will be sold at attractive prices in many countries I think so definitely buy it and enjoy :)

Bought the pop-up edition, but will buy the CD for my mum tomorrow and borrow it to import it on iTunes, look at the booklet ,etc. There is still something special for me in going to the store on release date: maybe it ´s old-fashioned, but there it is. Moreover I could not bear to listen to MX in a lower quality than the intended one. I have all their albums on CD and this will be no exception! (no lyrics in the booklet? WTH? I am disappointed about that: why are there lyrics in the japanese version though?)

Good question! If the iTunes edition drops at midnight, it would make sense for the emails to be sent at midnight as well, however I have a feeling they might first send them out tomorrow morning or later: let´s hope I am wrong. I for one will go and grab the CD tomorrow: midnight listening is not for me. I need to be fully awake ! hehe :)

Definitely caved in. Thankfully my mum wants to buy the CD as well so we are buying it tomorrow together and I will import it on iTunes and read the lyrics, before handing it out to her, so I got something while waiting for my pop up edition in December :)

He assumes he knows who Coldplay truly are and to what origins they should go back to. That is an unfounded assumption. Moreover you don't start a review by saying "here is their latest mess", unless you are prejudiced. No one would expect a positive review after a start like that. For me it's not a review I can respect, regardless of how valid his points are. But at the end of the day, of course any review is of limited value as we all make up our mind about the album anyway :)

I don´t discredit it because it´s negative but because it assumes too much and is prejudiced (Coldplay´s latest mess). Had he just stated that he does not like the songs or the new direction, I would have respected it, but he went too far.

First part is like Fellowship of the Ring, second part is darker, like Two Towers and then the last two songs sort of let us imagine the happy ending a la return of the king. Can´t choose between parts: I like the whole story complete :)

Always a bummer when the new album does not get under your skin. Hopefully it will at a point. It just might when you least expect it and if not, there are always the previous 4 albums I guess :)

I caved in as well! The album is discounted here at only € 15, so I decided to split it with a friend, while waiting for my pop-up edition. Nothin beats the excitement of waltzing into the music store on release day! So excited!

For me it´s an updated revised version of Glass Of Water and I love it! It´s big and bold, yet with such sensitive lyrics. This will be the bomb live

This man is so wonderful a shrine shuld be erected in his name. I was listening to Up In Flames and when Jonny started playing, I automatically started to smile. He has a heart of gold and his music reflects this: long live Jonny!

This song is so radio friendly I don´t see how it will not make it on every major radio out there. Give it time I say...when the single will come out, it will be everywhere.

The only lesson you hope they learn is to then make music fans want to hear, instead of playing from their hearts. As the multiple interviews attest, they are very much playing from their heart, more than ever before they are making exactly what they want, without thinking of where they fit or what people expect of them. Regardless of what you think of their direction, this surely is a sentiment to encourage, so I wish them all the success with MX, cuz that will guarantee they wl again write lp6 from their hearts and this is why I love this band.

Highly doubt the latter part. Most Rhianna fans are kids post iTunes so they would definitely just buy Poc as a single, not the whole album. If MX sells well, it will be because of the overall package and not just a stand-alone tune

The reviewer lost me at "mess". Apparently he thinks previous Coldplay albums are also a mess, so he is already biased. Funny also how he assumes to know who Coldplay are and have the audacity of telling they should get back to their true selves. Why cant he just stick to his opinion without assuming a lot of stuff he knows nothing about? It is this that makes the review unreliable in my view.

Only listened to the album once, but Up In Flames almost gets me to cry. For some reason though I always tear up during "in the gap between the two trapezes, but my heart is beating..." and also "be a red rose bursting the concrete", "I know the sun must set to rise". Jonny guitar on Paradise as well. That's the list so far :)
