  1. Of course! Hymn for the weekend :D :D
  2. Those moments are the best, those you cant describe but that we intuitively know exactly what they are :) This song has such a feeling of resting in one´s self, truly the feeling of reaching the goal of a very long journey and finally being able to breathe out and enjoy the amazing feeling! :) its so happy and joyful but in a very peaceful restful way :)
  3. He can only go....up and up and up! hehe Jonny is probably my favourite Coldplay member (though its near impossible to choose a favourite amongst my homeys :), but his guitar playing is nearly always my favourite musical part of a Coldplay song and who knows it could also be because he looks a bit like me haha Same blonde beard and hair and we both smile like happy fools! LOL
  4. Love it. Its so thumping ! I remember when they played it live in Paris, it was awesome! and Im glad it made it onto the concert blu-ray as one of the extra tracks.
  5. Celebrating with family is the best indeed :) And so great you got your CD in time! :D No presents to open here, but plenty of non-physical presents :) Enjoy this special day! :)
  6. I must say I just love this song and the beat makes me stomp every time hehe My favourite part is probably near the ending though, the "soaring through the sky" one also when Jonny kicks in with his stadium rock riff hehe
  7. Funny you should mention that. I actually listened to whole MX today and that solo in HLH I was like wow thats just so amazing and cool (especially the downward scale solo around 1:02!) hehe Its a great one too indeed! I mentioned UIF because first of all his solo lifts the whole song from mediocre to suddenly great. And also the melody in that solo is a real curved ball...its only a few notes but I find it the most sophisticated on MX. I think he brought that sophistication to AHFOD in full scale, to my great delight hehe :)
  8. Totally agree with your complaints, the first one was the one I had too. As for the death, it was not only unnecessary and too early but also not poignant, it felt totally empty. Another thing I noticed and did not like much was some parts where political correctness was put before the story....(there is especially one fight scene which suffers greatly for it). The whole story is just disappointing and derivative sadly, but the film is marvellous in all the other aspects: visual, acting, music, etc. I have hopes for VIII with an original story despite the fact it will still feature the whiny Kylo Ren *lol* And stupendous drawing! I cant draw at all really haha but Im a huge fan of art. Most of my friends happen to painters :) Im always in awe at what you guys can do with a pencil and a few brushes :) Its truly magical :)
  9. I think the absolute best part in UIF is Jonny´s riff. Its perhaps his best on all Mylo Xyloto. :) And yes Birds...an absolute classic! Its probably the most thrilling song on AHFOD for me in the sense that it gives me the biggest "butterfly in the stomach soaring through the sky" feeling! hehe Close seconds are Hymn and Adventure.
  10. Cant wait for the North American dates and tickets to be released :D Now that we know Australia will be in the Fall Im thinking definitely USA will be sometimes in August/September
  11. Even if its a hidden song, now I am really starting to fully associate it with Army of One as like "Army of One-part two" hehe Also pretty late in the game I started to connect the lyrics between the two songs and they totally fit, about not giving up and fighting for the one you love "eyes on the prize" and all :)
  12. Hey such a fun thread! :) I´ll list a few but these are my most played and least played EVER, so not sure how accurate it is (some songs I used to play a lot but dont anymore), but here goes: Therapy- Simon Poole (Dreamfall soundtrack) Always in my head (instrumental) - Coldplay Sad Beautiful Tragic - Taylor Swift Ultraviolence - Lana Del Rey Fucked my way to the top - Lana Del Rey Her Gentle Spirit - David Juritz (soundtrack) Healing Katniss - James N. Howard (soundtrack) Radio - Lana Del Rey One hand one heart - soundtrack Bel Air - Lana Del Rey Actually looking at it im not sure how accurate it reflects my listening habits haha Most of those songs were played during specific periods of time and most of them as background music. But yeah, good tracks :) Least played songs I can see all my Queen catalogue and The Smiths catalogue. haha I imported them on iTunes from my CDs, but I´ve yet to listen to any of them. I used to when I was 15 LOL
  13. Love that song! :) I did not know it was known outside Denmark :)
  14. Merry Christmas everyone wherever you are in the world! I wanted to say thank you for all the good conversations, debates, exchanges and sharing. I´ve come back here only recently, but I´ve enjoyed so much sharing the new album excitement with all of you! It has meant a lot to me especially during a time where I am alone and away from home. Here´s wishing for many more good exchanges and group hugs in the new year! Wishing the best to all of you and especially the most important thing ever: much love and light in your life in all its forms!
  15. Merry Christmas to you!! :)
  16. My favorite parts were always when they went *silence*..."wow thats actually a really good question" hehe Great interview and good questions indeed! So very nice of them to give us this little exclusive. Hope there is a part two sometime in the future :)
  17. Lyrics confirmed, also the line I thought I´d read on the booklet but was not sure. Pour on a symphony , I really like its pour and not put. Totally fits with the water metaphor :=) #melikes
  18. Haha finally! Too bad I already painstakingly wrote all the lyrics down on each iTunes song file decrypting Chris handwriting and surviving the purple effect lol
  19. I enjoyed this interview a lot. I find Chris being more and more unhinged/less worried about saying or doing the "right thing", which I find great because it means he is happy and at peace with himself. Great to have a little info on "X marks the spot"! It clearly was a little experiment as everyone noticed and this info confirms it. I would not mind a full track with similar vibe sometime in the future :) I like his analogy of music and restaurant hehe And this is probably my favorite bit in the interview, totally sums up where they are now as a band imo and also how I feel in my life. I followed my gut for a long time but always kinda held back a bit, worried or just was not 100% in, but recently I also decided it was either all in or all out, so I decided f**k it, follow your gut 150%, totally in line with the spirit of AHFOD. :D As long as you’re true to yourself what more can you really do?
  20. Listened to the album again today from beginning to end. Still a real thrill! I just cant help dancing and humming along even if I am out walking haha I remember thinking similarly when I listened to Mylo cuz it was joyful too, but AHFOD is so struggle-free and exuberant, makes me feel like Im standing on top of a mountain after several years hike! And I can totally relate haha :) I don't know...every time I listen to it, its just exactly how I feel , it hits all the right chords. And I find myself skipping no song: such a treat, the album is like a small sparkling jewel of shiny colours :) #thankful
  21. So true. I guess I learnt a few years back to have humility about opinions, I learnt the hard way hehe I was so steadfast about my view of the world that I thought hey those other people must be crazy for doing what they do or thinking what they think. This kind of selective view is not anyone´s fault really, I think its there simply because most people won't ever have the chance to be in someone else´s head or shoes, so obviously they tend to think "the world must be how I see it for all". In my case I went through some dramatic changes in my life which basically put me in the opposite position than I had before and suddenly I realised oh wow now I get what others were talking about LOL its just that such dramatic events so rarely happen to people, so no wonder they never get the chance to "be the other side" so to speak. And thats a pity and its often one of determinant reasons for a lot of vitriol in discussions. :/
  22. Haha awesome idea the first one! :) Well I remember in the past Coldplayers from here participated in the Christmas Lights video if I remember correctly, so there are precedents for super awesome arrangements involving people from Coldplaying :)
  23. Hmmm I dont think the frequency you cite is very accurate hehe
  24. Your post needed a edit :) And Coldplay and some Coldplayers lived happily ever after, while others moved on to other artists LOL
  25. Lifted this comment off a Star Wars forum (which I´d never visited before btw haha). I had to double check I was still on the Star Wars forum and not somewhere else *LOL* It seems as of late there are more people creeping around the PT boards trying to "prove" that the PT was a failure and all that nonsense. If people don't like the PT, my advice is stop whining about it! It gets old and it disrupts the fun for people that do enjoy it. I don't care if someone hates it, that is their business. But when others try to make a case and prove that the PT is hated by this imaginary "majority of fans" that they dream up and try to pass off as proof is beyond ridiculous. Like I said I don't mind someone saying "I don't really like the PT" I can respect that, even though I don't agree. But when they are trying to make their opinion mean more than it does by coming up with some kind of "stats" or whatever junk they use to back up their opinion, NO! That stuff needs to go. Just state an opinion and stand by what you say. That is the way I see it.
