I think we read this one some days before...but its good to hear it again. Beautiful review! ;)
  2. Another positive review. Thanks.
  3. The first sentence of the review shows it perfectly. And also the very last about the diversity and experimentation. Strange, that some people said Mylo Xyloto is so popish, while its definitely the opposite.
  4. ^Agree. But thats the point if a big band like Coldplay changes their style so radical. There will be always people who find it shitty. With regard to the lovely production and all the warm songs on the record like Us against the World, U.F.O., Up with the Birds and Up in Flames the review is nothing than shit in my view.
  5. It was clear that after all those brilliant reviews also some negatives occur. The extreme production of the album is the main thing which will polarize the world. Thats clear and this is one of the rare reviews which considers it as a bad thing. Unfortunately, but taste is different.
  6. Fantastic! Mind-blowing! A beautiful booklet to in my honest opinion the best Coldplay album until now.
  7. It was always clear that the live version is a bit better than the studio one. Of course we always knew that and that's why I don't understand some reactions here. What do you expect? Live songs of Coldplay are mostly better, because they are a fucking great live band. And especially some energetic, upbeat, euphoric songs like Hurts like Heaven always work better with a crowd. With regard to this I enjoy the studio version which is different and thats why I like it so much. It makes it more interesting. The studio version itself is mind-blowing for me. All the effects fits perfectly in the atmosphere and the outro is simply beautiful! It gives me chills everytime I hear it. Hands down Coldplay. One of the best songs of all time and yes, even better than some other giants like Politik, Violett Hill etc. (imho).
  8. Another brilliant review. At the moment I'm very proud of the band. Not only because they created such a masterpiece but also for all the haters in the forum who said that Mylo would be a shame for all Coldplay fans and it will be the worst record of the band. I enjoy every single review on Mylo Xyloto because nearly everyone was highly positive. Great, because naturally big bands like Coldplay have to face critisicm along the way just because they are big.
  9. I'm sure most of the comments are just because we aren't used to a beat like that. I'm sure that after some weeks most of the people hear will like it in a way. At the moment I also find the bass at least too hard, but nevertheless its a great song in my honest opinion. The minimalistic and repetitive character fits perfectly on the record after the first half of the album + U.F.O + PoC. It shows that Coldplay still can make "boring" songs which are lovely (boring because no special building and variety etc.).
  10. I just want to write this cute smiley in nearly every post of me about Mylo Xyloto. :) This lyrics derserves nothing else :dazzled: :)
  11. I honestly prefer the studio recording houndred times more than the live one. Live I didn't mention it too much, it was a good song, nothing more. Now, with this masterpiece of production its more, clearly more for me!
  12. Don't think so. The production is a masterpiece in my honest opinion and all the songs are a masterpiece for itself. Look at Charlie Brown - all the effects makes the song so interesting and not boring after some listenings. All the tiny details and variations help to keep Mylo Xyloto fresh, and new, and exciting. Special thanks to Brian Eno and the rest of the team - amazing work!
  13. Another brilliant review. It shares my view - its Coldplay's most innovative record until now and thats why I love them.
  14. Ok, I accept your view, taste is different, but why you create a own thread? Should everyone do something like that? :P Really, I stated often enough that this album is really up there with AROBTTH and Viva for me, most likely a bit better. Its definitely the widest and most produced record with the most details, influences, instruments, vocal work etc. Its colorful at its best. But I won't write a review in a own thread. ;)
  15. Where can I subscribe? You hit the point perfectly. As always. I'm proud that the guys are brave enough to make something new, different and fresh with the vocal work on this record. Just because the band is so big there'll be always criticism on everything new they do and also on everything they do the same way. I love Hurts Like Heaven, nevertheless I consider the live version a little bit better, but thats not surprising with regard to the energy of the song.
  16. For me its another masterpiece. It was always hard for me to consider one of the records as the best, but Mylo Xyloto is definitely up there with AROBTTH and Viva. Maybe a bit better but I need time to be sure.
  17. I'm a bit disappointed that Wills part in the second verse isn't so prominent. Thats a bit surprising. Maybe we will hear him in the final version...the leaked one seems to be not the version which will be on the cds. Anyway its a mind-blowing song. If they add Wills Voice really it will be the favorite song of me - maybe. ;)
  18. So, now I listened also. And all I have to say: MIND-BLOWING! I would't have any problem to say that it is a shit album but I can clearly say that this is a masterpiece. Its up there with Viva and AROBTTH maybe also a bit better but its too soon to consider it. Mastepiece! I love it! Thanks Coldplay, thanks Brian Eno (for the lovely vocal effects which are always in the right order and fitting the topic well).
  19. Is there any difference in instruments or so besides the tempo maybe?
  20. Beautiful! Perfect! Of course we can't compare live and studio versions. Such rock songs works always better with a crowd and on a big stage...nothing new. Still a masterpiece.
  21. Major_Love replied to followchrist77's topic in U.F.O.
    Lyrics?
  22. That it will polarize is nothing new. ;) There is too much new and innovative, its too different from Parachutes that there won't be criticism but I don't care about them who only want to hear music of one genre. So, overall you say its a great album?
  23. Whaaaaht? Where are haters? I saw 1-2 people which are a bit disappointed about the production but overall only epic reactions. As expected.
