  1. Me too. Miracles is a great song. It had "real instruments" (to please all of those people), a large sound that we didn't have anywhere on Ghost Stories, and a bunch of neat production bits. If Stargate can produce a great movie soundtrack song, I'm not even worried for LP7. MX is not a bad album, either. It's not their best but it's far from their worst. I still feel confident thinking that, had MX released after any other album besides Viva, it would have been much more respected.
  2. Hahaha. I had to misread it to make sure I even made sense! Essentially, my theory is that since the band hasn't be on the road or in the public eye for quite a while, they've devoted more time to teasing instead of keeping a makeshift website as an in-between stage between albums. In reality, there isn't any real reasoning behind what I said as it's more just what I feel like is going on with the band. But, it's clear they're pretty far along and feel comfortable giving us subtle (or not so subtle) clues to what LP7 is going to be like.
  3. Damn straight. Way to go, Pitchfork. X&Y is incredible.
  4. That's one of the few times I've honestly ever laughed at my computer screen for a long time. The sheer, "Oh." from them was just the icing on the cake.
  5. Ironically, that was for the song Atlas was so sure was Miracles in some Christmas ad in the UK. They prepared a reaction video and everything -- only for it to be some unknown artist. Fucking hilarious.
  6. Ugh. They have? *retracts statement about Atlas Project*
  7. Exactly. It's being spread around like Stargate and Coldplay themselves announced it together. I'm skeptical for plenty of reasons, but jumping the gun like this is not good looking for the site. I don't know why this Stargate thing is bothering me so much, but I hope Coldplaying can retract the confirmation.
  8. Yeah. We don't have any confirmation about this stuff, so getting people's hopes up (or down) isn't a good idea.
  9. Okay, wow guys. We're jumping the gun for no reason. Breathe.

In hindsight, I think Homecoming was what got me into Kanye West a few years ago. The hook is great, but damn Kanye had some great imagery with this song.
  11. I'm sorry to hear that. Something definitely felt off and a little too good to be true with that email, so I was a bit cautious anyways. But gerber, it's okay! These things happen. No one here is angry with you. :)
  12. Oh man, Chinese Sleep Chant or A Spell A Rebel Yell would be great. Add a mix of All Your Friends and Ghost Story and I'd be a happy man.
  13. Absolutely. I've said it before (too much lol), but I think LP7 is so, so much farther along than we've been lead to believe.
  14. It is! Happy 74th, Bob!
  15. Update: I still can't stop listening to this. :dazzled:
  16. wtf This is like really, really good. I am completely surprised because I was expecting Chris being silly. Obviously this is no representation of AHFOD, but can we have something as emotional and good as this????

  18. I'm calling for an early-to-mid Fall single release, with the album dropping no later than February of 2016.
  19. Shameless plug to my theory about the site design. I think it's more involved than people think.
  20. For all those here during the post-Viva days, you'll remember we had two different site redesigns before they moved into the bright MX website. The first, was that very simple white and black website, and the other was like a stripped back, featureless design very similar to the actual MX site design. According to the Wayback Machine, the all-black, pre-MX site was launched sometime around December 1, 2009 and stayed the same general theme until 2010 when it started to become more colorful (i.e. pink and blue, primarily). A couple months prior to ETIAW being released, the site became even more animated with little pieces that ended up subtly giving away multiple clues for what was then LP6. (See here for April 11, 2011. The 'News' icon had MX and UFO, 'Timeline' had the running man in the ETIAW tease videos, and 'Exhibition Room' used the logo for what I was believe is Don't Let It Break Your Heart or Princess of China.) Of course, none of us picked up on these clues until well after (specifically, that summer when the infamous words 'Mylo Xyloto' were found). There's a difference between those two sites and this current one -- recording time. Back in those days of silence, Coldplay was still on a world tour with only about one full year of pretty much nothing. (I'm looking at you, 2010.) The time for both webpages did extend close to two years, but like I said, they were on the road and busy. As I'm lead to believe the band is much farther along with AHFOD than we're being told, there's not a doubt in my mind the overall theme of this website is most definitely subtlety hinting of the LP7-era art style. Coldplay loves to do this all the time, even with Ghost Stories. Be on the lookout for site updates, folks!
  21. A t-shirt with a forged Thom Yorke signature on it.
  22. I did not like the title until the official announcement. I don't even know why. Is that weird? Maybe I just boarded the hype train.
  23. Do you mean Magic? Because I remember the album itself didn't leak until very close to the official release. When Gywneth made the announcement, Magic was the only song we had at the time, and I remember everyone going back to Magic and re-examining the lyrics in context of the situation. After that, everyone sort of figured Ghost Stories would be a breakup album. (I'm not being mean, just curious.)
