  1. Sounds like he's finally do a live version of this song without fucking up the vocals.
  2. ^ You should upload that on the exhibition room. :awesome:
  3. As MX teaches us, we should worship those who stand up for their faith against their opressive environement. ;)
  4. Wrong. CB's chorus is Jonny's guitar riff. Same goes for Princess of China (albeit, it's the vocal/synthie thing there) and Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall. Effectively, even HLH has a chorus ("When you use your heart as a weapon, it hurts like heaven"). In fact, I love how they are fiddling with common song structures and creating new ones. It started on Viva (42, DAAHF), but they are much more consequent with it on this record. It's things like that that show that Coldplay are not a typical pop band. Most pop acts avoid odd song structures.
  5. ^ I second this.
  6. Charlie Brown 5 Don't Let It Break Your Heart 5

^ That's why you have to listen to the album in its entirety. :shame: Btw, I think the track is slightly too long.
  8. "I could've been a princess, you'd be a prince" Works too. :|
  9. Seriously, that's such a bullcrap of an idea. :uhoh:
  10. Tough question. DLIBYH is better than any song on X&Y (strange because there are huge songs like White Shadows, Square One or How You See The World on it). Some songs seem totally out of place (Paradise, Major Minus), some flow perfectly (AHT-UWTB). Overall, it works better than Viva sometimes, sometimes not. U.F.O. and Us Against The World are some of their best efforts lyricwise. Paradise's and Up In Flames's are rather lame. I think my ranking is: A Rush Of Blood To The Head / Viva La Vida / Mylo Xyloto X&Y (best songs) Parachutes X&Y (worst songs)
  11. AHT - UWTB I guess. The iTunes-count doesn't seem to work properly for me.
  12. I'd rather go for dubstep than techno. I think I'm getting used to it, it seems like the whole song has to go to subconsciousness to appeal. But then again, the song could really use some more variation. The guitar part is great, but sadly the only new aspect in the song after 3 minutes.
  13. ^ :dazzled: But only if all guitars were tuned in ostrich tuning.
  14. It is indeed the same in other pitch and tempo, but I didn't recognize it at all, even after hearing both again. Maybe I don't like Snoop Dog enough.
  15. Till Kingdom Come. Come on baby
  16. I'm actually now imagining Will playing the accordion while pounding the bass drum with his foot. :laugh3:
  17. I love how in some parts of the verses there is nothing else than Chris, his guitar, the piano and the beat. Sounds so intimate. :wacky:
  18. Princess of China doesn't even have to be announced as a single to top the charts.
  19. Imo, this song could've been recorded much better than it is. Rihanna lacks emotion and doesn't even sound like herself sometimes. Jonny could use more prominence and the song does not build up properly to the end. Somehow, I got the feeling that this is another song that sounds much better live. Strange, considering the amount of studio effects and synthies. But come on guys, that's not their worst song ever. The song itself is brilliant.
  20. As with most people, Up In Flames starts to grow on me, but still it's kinda boring sometimes (I only really like the part with the guitar :D). Also, the last three tracks have grown on me really quickly (DLIBYH is too in-your-face to capture everything from the beginning). On the other hand, I'm rather lukewarm on MM. Not that it's a bad song, it's just that the studio version fails to deliver the drive and dirtyness of the live version (I don't mind the vocal effects) and it seems completely out of place. PS: I forgot bout Paradise. I hated it at first, but it has grown to a decent track.
