Kinda annoying how people have started crying out "PLAGIARISM!" as soon as they find something that sounds similar to something else. Heck, look at the charts. It's like 5 times the same song. Actually, it's not even unusual that the same rhythms, harmonies and melodies keep coming up over and over again. I mean, we're not talking about unbelievably complex musical areas. That's the easiest possible scale and all chords are taken from it. Mind, just because it sounds the same doesn't mean one has taken it from the other. They might as well got the same idea. Btw, the vocals from that Temple thing are horrible.

Lost, Cemeteries of London (with a capo) and Trouble (apart from the barrés) are kinda easy too.

Each row represents one string (the letters at the beginning of the row indicate to what note it is tuned). The first row is the highest-, the last row the lowest-sounding string. The numbers on the line indicate which fret you have to press while plucking that string. 0 means plucking the string without pressing any fret, x means not to pluck that string (or mute it). Imagine time progressing as you're reading the tab from left to right. If numbers are written underneath each other on seperate strings, you play them at the same time. (the letters on the line indicate certain playing techniques, e.g. h means hammer-on. Sometimes the abbreviations are explained seperately, just check out a couple of tabs and you'll find it eventually). If there's any questions left, don't hesitate to ask. Otherwise, hf playing ;)

Awesome mix, but tune down the bass in "Light a fire" a bit, cuz the guitar riff afterwards sounds a little bit doo-de-li-doe without the contrast to the verse. :pleased:

Brian Eno is undoubtedly what Coldplay needed after X&Y. I think that on MX, he did a great job at squeezing more out of Jonny's guitar skills. However, I feel like now they've fired off all little tricks and gadgets they had got. In order to get better, they now have to evolve in their skills as musicians, and I am not sure whether Eno is able to accomplish that (perhaps he is, judging by Jonny's vast improvement on this album; the riffs are a great improvement for Coldplay (still nothing really groundbreaking though)). The future will tell.

No, it has not. But I personally think it is Coldplay, partly because it was sold alongside other definitely legit leaks on a ringtone website, partly because it has all typical properties of Coldplay instrumentation and sound: acoustic guitar with ringing sound (open tuning typical for Chris) piano Jonny's atmospheric and echo-y lead guitar sound (compare with Lost and Cemeteries of London, it sounds extremely similar imo) the brass section mentioned in the Prospekt blog.

Good: Genious flow from AHT-UWTB. Bad: dissatisfying production on HLH, MM and PoC.
