  1. [ame=http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xcswm2_coldplay-clocks_music]Coldplay - Clocks - Video Dailymotion@@AMEPARAM@@http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/video@@AMEPARAM@@video[/ame] Also, I think Chris Martin is Jesus.
  2. He's one of the funniest people I've ever met*.
  3. My heart belongs to Chris, but my body belongs to Guy... :wink3: Just kidding, I'm not gay. :D
  4. I really, REALLY don't care about haters. :dozey: I don't even know many, but then again I don't know many CP fans also. P.S. MX is kinda gay tho. Speed Of Sound was the first CP song I heard, so it will always be the song that got me into Coldplay. It isn't necessarily my favorite, for example I think Clocks is better, and the X&Y album wouldn't exist if it wasn't for that song. Goldplaying is a Goldmine of Goldplay stuff. :dazzled: :D
  5. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coldplay_discography#Singles So many songs, starting with singles. So many other songs besides VLV deserved to be #1's. Not that I care about charts, but if people don't know (didn't buy) the singles, how are they supposed to now the less known songs... The first song that pops into my mind is Politik. I don't undestand why they didn't release it as a single when it's just as good as the other 4 songs they did.
  6. Thanks guys... I'm hooked already... Finally someone to talk to about CP (besides myself). :no schizophrenic:
  7. How can the BEST SELLING ALBUM of 2005 in the WORLD be a horrible fail?! I'm not saying that album sales are the only criteria, but they definitely say that it wasn't a fail. I gotta say I didn't like it that much when I played it the first couple of times, all the songs sounded the same to me. But eventually they grew on me and I play the album from start to finish when I'm in that mood. I'm surprised that so many people voted for it. It is their longest album, so if you want to compare it to other albums fairly, cut 2-3 of the worst songs from it and then think about it. ;) The band dislikes Parachutes (Chris Martin said that Coldplay didn't like the album. He also commented that they look beyond Parachutes: "We know that's terrible music and we always try to think about what we can do next."), so I voted for it. I love one half and almost never listen to the other half of it. One thing is fo sho - it's not AROBTTH.
  8. I gave it 10 Elephants (:D). I don't think it's perfect, it is kinda repetitive, but so is every other Beatles song. The video suits it perfectly, it gave me the chills, it's beautiful... Just that the lyrics seem unfinished, as I said on MM, it lacks one verse, so it could have been better. It souds a lot different when I hear it on TV or YT and when I play it on my iPod, it's much less dramatic on TV. :D All in all, the first 3 (proper) songs on MX are my favorite 3.
  9. One of the best songs on MX! I gave it a 10, but I didn't like it that much from the start, it grew on me. I wouldn't change a thing, maybe I'd just add one more verse, as with every other song on MX. I have to say, for me, it's the most U2-esque thing they've ever done.
  10. They chose her cos she has a high pitched, squeaky voice, and let's face it, Chris is no Barry White, so any other singer with a deeper voice would have probably made him her bitch. :D Just kidding, but that's what I think about that. And it worked out fine, I can't think of many alternatives for that particular song. The riff is EPIC. The lyrics are quite weak, they seem like they're 70% done. I'd give the song an 8.
  11. ^ Your face while you were watching him?
  12. One word - overproduced. It's a great song but the drums are way too loud... I can't hear the voice and the melodies. Maybe the song should have been more like A Hopeful Transmission + the heartbeats which I love.
  13. Absolute 10. The song describes the entire album and the album art. It's Coldplay on meth... CB is Coldplay on LSD. :D
  14. LOL Don't we all have one? :dazzled: :D I think the critics were kinda harsh. 65/100 is the lowest ever Coldplay album average. I would be harsh too, I'd give ETIAW a 3/5 back in the summer, cos I was in the state of shock of what has become of Coldplay. BUT when I heared the whole album I was in love, I don't know, somehow I didn't mind the not-so-deep lyrics and all other weaknesses. Even if I weren't a fan I'd give the album a 9 or a 10 because it just works. Everything is in place, everything is perfect. So the critics who gave them a chance, who didn't dismiss it as pop garbage after one play, wrote fair reviews. Also, just the presence of Rihanna on the record knocked down the score by 5-10%. :D I love Princess Of China tho. And We Found Love. I was happy when R and CP hit no.1 on Billboard Hot 100 & 200 simultaneously. :)
  15. I put it between Major Minus and U.F.O. Cos on the EP it goes - ETIAW, MM, MTM. And Mars should be next to the UFO. :D Also, when I heard it for the first time, it reminded me of WALL-E. I wonder if they were inspired by that movie...
  16. Honestly, when I first heared the song, I was like - what. the. fuck?! Is this Coldplay? This shit sounds like Rihanna! (How very prophetic of me.) And I pretty much didn't listen to it until the album droped. Then somehow everything fell into place, I fell in love with the album instantly. Are they not alowed to be happy? Should they never change? No and no. Change is a crucial part of longevity. They have to change to stay interesting. Now I truly adore Teardrop and MX. It's overwhelmingly positive. When I listen to it I just wanna cuddle someone and smother them to death. :dazzled: :D But... Just how the hell did they find this song? xD [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kgq1g-2cQ54]Peter Allen - I go to Rio - YouTube[/ame]
  17. I think Charlie Brown is my favorite track on MX. CB and Hurts Like Heaven certanly best describe the album as a whole. If Car Kids exists, I think it's kinda goofy like CB, childish in a way, and that it probably has some car sounds (like ignition, motor sounds, tyres burning) in it. Maybe it's more of a pop song, tho I doubt they'll put a pop song as a B-side. But I don't imagine it being acustic. I understand people freaking out about it cos of all the ck signs and stuff, but please... Make it stop.
  18. I don't, however, like Radiohead (only a couple of songs). They are uncharismatic and dead inside, and they should stick with songwriting and producing cos they truly suck at performing. (But they are good musicians tho). This rant is inspired by Radiohead worshiping hipster critics, and Coldplay critics in general. I have not read a single Coldplay review without someone mentioning U2 or Radiohead. OK, we get it, they sound familiar, just like millions of artists sound like millions of others. But these constant comparisons they point out every single time are kinda getting sick.
  19. I really wish they would do a cover of The Killers' All These Things That I've Done. (Without that obnoxious Bono person. :D) I adore that song and the 'I got soul but I'm not a soulja' part is so VIVA-esque... Not that I hate U2, I like them, but not as much as I love Coldplay.
  20. When you're not a crybaby but then a Coldplay song makes you cry like a rainforest and smile at the same time for no particular reason... Then you're pretty much screwed... And nooothing else compaaares!
  21. Square One & White Shadows. Coulda/woulda/shoulda been as big as Speed Of Sound & Talk. ;)
  22. Violet Hill Viva La Vida Strawberry Swing Cemeteries Of London Death And All His Friends
  23. U lucky girl... :stunned: Thank you. ;)
