  1. I liked the acoustic version of POC. Paradise live....I dont know, it just doesnt pack the punch that Charlie Brown does. For me anyways. I was expecting Charlie Brown. I thought that would have worked better with the xylobands. I would have even been happy with a ETIAW perfrormance than Paradise.
  2. I personally think one of Chris Martin's best songs lyrically.
  3. I was just thinking about the whole Mylo Xyloto in every song thing. Remember when they said the original idea was to make an album that had an animated film that went along with it? Well movies usually have a movie score that runs through out the film. Variations of the score are made for different songs for different scenes in the movie. I was thinking maybe thats whats kind of going on with this album. It is sort of a concept album. So it has a sort of general theme/plot. Much like movies. I think Mylo Xyloto is the "original score" and is varied in the songs on the album. In some songs its very subtle and others its very prominent. Just a thought.
  4. Such a judgemental world we live in....
  5. I guess the running man is being used during the Charlie Brown performances now at the concerts.I seen a couple videos of the running man being displayed at the concerts on the small circular screens.I really enjoyed it when it was used during Hurts Like Heaven.I kind of dont think it works in Charlie Brown.A little sad about that.
  6. From the videos I have seen so far I am just wondering...where is the running man during Hurts Like Heaven?!?!
  7. I remember watching an interview online where Chris talks about the meaning behind ETIAW.About how its means turning something negative into a positive.A tear into a waterfall.Until I heard this explanation I didnt quite understand what the title meant or what to make of it.I think by understanding the meaning of the title it helped me understand the song better as a whole.I often asked myself what the hell does ETIAW even mean.I think a lot of people just by looking at the title think its a cheesy Coldplay title. But I quite like the explanation and metaphor.I like the message its trying to convey.
  8. ESPN has been using the track a lot.I hear on SportsNation all the time along with Paradise. They use it during Sportscenter and some other shows as well. Its nice to hear it when it pops up.I get a burst of excitement everytime I hear it.
  9. I enjoyed the interview.I think Chris obviously knew what he was getting into when he aggreed to do the interview. It was great to hear Chris talk about a lot of different things and most of all the songs and how he writes.Howard seemed really in awe of him and genuinely interested in the music and the process. You could tell sometimes Howard wasnt taking Chris' half assed answers.Howard was definitley persistent in getting an answer.Although I dont think Howard is quite familiar with Chris' sense of humor.Howard was a bit gullible lol.But I liked the interview.
  10. I keep hearing Dont Let It Break Your Heart during Sportscenter's little video montage's right before commercials. Also heard it on SportsNation too.
  11. I was listening to Trouble and I thought that I heard that bass line somewhere before.I think it sounds similar to the Paradise bass line. But who knows I could be just hearing things. What do you guys think?
  12. So Snoopy is singing in the begining of Charlie Brown!!!!!! What a collaboration!!!
  13. I dont mind the vocal effects.I kind of like them. Its something new and different.Although I am not a big fan of when Chris sings in his lower register. It just seems a bit weird to me.
  14. For me probably the best performances of ETIAW and Paradise ive seen.Seems like Chris is getting comfortable singing the new songs.Just like he's comfortable singing Yellow and In My Place.
  15. With the new album being released and countless reviews streaming in,you cant help but read all the reviews. Some good and some bad. After reading some negative reviews I couldnt help but ask myself the question. Why does it seem like the thing to do to express how much people dislike Coldplay? To me anyways,it seems like a lot of people go out of their way to let it be known how much they dislike the bands music. They go into great detail sometimes too.I think those critics live for the day Coldplay release a new album.Everyone has their critics I understand, yet everyone is a critic.I for one never understood the relevance of a critic. Not just in music but movies, books, etc. It is basically one persons opinion really. Im sure Coldplay arent the only band who recieve negative comments. But as a fan you cant help but notice it a little more than usual. As much as you try to ignore those type of people every now and then you cant help but notice the negative comments sometimes. It just made me wonder why really. If its not the type of music they like, then thats fine. But they seem to go to great lengths to make it known that they dont like their music.Even fellow musicians do the same.So I was just wondering what everyone one else thought. Why do people go out of their way to say they dont like Coldplay?

  17. I can totally hear it now when I listen to Charlie Brown.I thought it was some wierd keyboard sound.Thats pretty cool if you think about it!
  18. I cant really hear what Chris is singing in DLIBYH.Maybe its suppose to be like a shoegaze type of thing? There are some parts in in certain songs where the music is louder than Chris and it kind of drowns him out.
  19. I think Princess Of China and Up In Flames fit perfecetly as in the track order.Since Up In Flames is next after Princess Of China. For those of us who have heard Up In Flames, you can see part of the concept and connection between the two songs.
  20. The lyrics indicate a falling out between two people. As in the running order Up In Flames would be next. For those of us who have heard Up In Flames I think the two songs fit perfectly as Up In Flames starts off with the "So its over" line. You can see part of the concept in these two songs.
  21. Maybe everyone can dress up as scouts and go "Sheep Tipping" in the name of Jonny Buckland to pass the time!! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kaVJFXTXuc]Jonny Buckland's Best Story Ever - YouTube[/ame]
  22. I always get the vibe that RS are always tough on Coldplay. Which is fine. But I cant help but cringe at how much they think Bono & U2 can do no wrong. But its hard not to be a bias coldplay fan sometimes.
  23. Hardly the poet, this just came out of no where.Pretty simple in structure and rhyme. The Two Darkest of dark,is the desert night. The stars are their guide, they are their sight. Their gaze is intense, natural, and true. Moments like these, they know are few. The two on a path, that leads to an end. Was it all sincere,or was it pretend? The two now divided, not sure where they'll end. Not sure if they'll ever meet again.
