1. Coldplay's music always picks me up, when there seems to be nothing but sad news in the world.  #BelieveInLove
2. I have four excess items of the Acoustic/Sparks EP that came as promo with The Independent in 2000. (My God, that's 16 years ago and by now The Independent doesn't even exist as a print newspaper anymore.) I'm preferably looking for any promos/singles of the post Viva eras. (That's when I became lazy and stopped hunting for items online, lol.) If anybody is interested in an exchange, let me know. :)
3. I went skiing in glorious sunshine! :daisy:
4. I love the song, simply because it makes me stupidly happy. It's still my fave off the album.
5. Woohoo, all the tour excitement! :bliss: For me it's only 100 days until my little Coldplay tour with five concerts in a row. So much poorer, but so much happier. :D
6. What a fantastic interview! He's my spirit animal when it comes to some things.
7. :wink3: (I could finally use my favourite smiley again, yay!)
8. I love XMTS (really do)! The funky beat made me think of it first. ;)
9. 'Hands Off Deez Nutz' will be the new 'X Marks The Spot' on the next album. :D
10. Yeah, I do. The situation changed a bit since somebody from the team quit their job. Before that happened, it wouldn't have been a problem. I hope it remains to be no problem. :D
11. Great to read about your adventurous time, I ran away! Reminds me of many of my own Coldplay adventures. Hope you felt the excitement despite some of the newer songs. :) I had a random, anxious thought today that somebody at work might ask me to cancel some of my planned Coldplay shows for the summer. Just saw that three people (out of four) want days off during that time. Nooooooo! :|
12. Making my way through season 4 at the moment, too. Yeah, a whole bunch of sick mofos. :D
...Meechum was the only remotely likable character...boom, he's gone. :(
13. My fave tour was MX. It's also the tour during which I went to most concerts - mostly because it made me so happy and I wanted to feel it again and again (talk about drunk and high :D). MX isn't necessarily my favourite album, but the energy the tour provided, the setlists, the Xylobands, the combination of indoors and outdoors shows, the colourfulness, the creative elements coming together...it was just perfect for me. I also loved the tours for AROBTTH and Viva, but only during MX every single concert made me feel so incredibly alive and grateful, that I can only conclude that it was my fave overall. During other eras I hade the odd one or two shows where I didn't feel the energy that much. AROBTTH was however very special to me, as it was my first tour and such a formative time of my life (I was still a baby, lol!). Twisted Logic was my least favourite tour, unfortunately. I just couldn't feel the connection with the band and the music during any of the shows I went to. I was lucky enough to score a ticket for a secret show in Cologne back then before the album came out and felt like the luckiest person on earth getting to see them in front of just 800 people. I actually remember crying at home after the concert, because I hadn't felt an emotional connection during the whole show, lol. I seriously thought the love for my favourite band had just disappeared into thin air. But good things were coming my way. ;)
14. Yeah, I can definitely see the relevance.
15. I love the album! I love pop, rock, indie, whatever. I love music I love. I don't love every single thing they do, say or produce. But I don't have to. I love those bits that make me happy. I love that the tour is coming up and that I'll be having the time of my life. Just my 0.02. :D (What I learned from many posts here: Pop is apparently the source of evil in the world. ;))
16. I've used these in the past and was very happy with the sound and the overall quality: Mobile Link: http://www.amazon.de/dp/B00REB9VTO/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_awdl_2Mi2wb1S9X67J :)
17. As if Coldplay knew this was discussed here ;): Mobile Link: https://twitter.com/coldplay/status/705453018951581701?s=09 I'm always wearing ear plugs to concerts and wouldn't want to miss them. I literally suffered through some loud concerts in the past, which stole most of my enjoyment and left my ears ringing for days. It's not worth it. You get used to the slightly muffled sound if you put them in early and special plugs for music can still give you a fantastic sound quality. There are inexpensive, comfortable ones that you can clean and reuse starting at 10-20€ already.
18. I'm currently attending a workshop programme for my job and we had to introduce ourselves. As it's about online marketing, I thought it would be fun to imagine myself as an online ad. I chose to be a banner at Coldplaying.com and explained how it combines my job (something traditional within marketing) with my personality (love for Coldplay). :D
19. The only thing Kanye would be supporting, is his own ego.:D
20. Apparently Mehrdad is his brother, a cardiologist. LOL, I just spent a couple of seconds on this site and had to close it laughing. I guess I'm just not spiritual enough. :D Within: A spiritual awakening to love & weight loss - Foreword by Gwyneth Paltrow. Nope, I guess I'll pass... :curtain:
21. I really like the peacock one, but I'm a little underwhelmed by most of the others, to be honest. Not that I could do it any better. :D
22. Sorry you feel disappointed, OP. Some people like their more recent directions, some don't. I guess it happens. Also sorry that this was the first thing I thought of:
23. Nice interview - Gustavo sounds like a great guy! Really loving the YOLA project and these kids looked so happy and enthusiastic during the performance. Probably an experience they will forever carry in their hearts. Btw, I loved it that each of the kids had a flower of life patch with their name on their jacket. Little but special touch.
24. I think I lost my brain there for a minute. Jonny does that to me.
25. I can't wait for the tour to start and see them live again! :bliss: Sing along, jump around, cry a little, be amazed, make new friends, smile happily, and be grateful for the good things in life. Did I already say that I can't wait?
