  1. Now presenting our champion era........... X&Y!!!!!!!!:x&y::x&y::x&y::x&y::x&y::x&y::x&y: With 5 votes to X&Y's 2, I've got to tell you in my loudest tone that AROBTTH has been defeated. Thanks for a nice fun elimination game everyone. I sure enjoyed it and even though it's only one of many games of its kind, I hope you all feel the same. :) Hopefully in a year or so we can revisit this and see how the A Head Full of Dreams era stands.
  2. Nooooooooo not Fix You!!!!!!! :( I'm voting Talk again. Speed of Sound deserves to go on.
  3. Wikipedia considers Lhuna to be a single. I don't think it would go very far in the game but for the sake of completeness I think you should include it.
  4. Don't worry, I won't judge. There are three Coldplay songs, an Ed Sheeran song, and one of the last good songs Maroon 5 ever made in my opinion (Just a Feeling). So, that list is not too bad. ;)
  5. I personally consider Life in Technicolor and Life in Technicolor II to be two different songs. In my opinion they are different enough to warrant separate entries in the elimination. Each has elements that do not appear in the other song: for example, Life in Technicolor has the Escapist snippet and Life in Technicolor II has instrumental parts that do not appear in its counterpart.
  6. I'm going to have another go at it: 1. Boulevard of Broken Dreams - Green Day 2. Chocolate - Snow Patrol 3. Glass of Water - Coldplay 4. Pyramid Song - Radiohead 5. Man On the Moon - R.E.M. 6. Alive - Pearl Jam 7. You Know My Name - Chris Cornell 8. Behind Blue Eyes - The Who 9. Shiver - Coldplay 10. Ultraviolet (Light My Way) - U2
  7. 1. Running to Stand Still - U2 2. Breakout - Foo Fighters 3. Supermassive Black Hole - Muse 4. Uno - Muse 5. Over My Head (Cable Car) - The Fray 6. Stubborn Love - The Lumineers 7. Low - Coldplay 8. 2+2=5 - Radiohead 9. Please - U2 10. A Whisper - Coldplay
  8. I drew a line for you
  9. I only just discovered this! It is a mixture of live performances and fun little interviews from June 2000. Plus, there is a snippet of the unreleased gem Harmless. I'm sorry that some of it is not in English... anyways, enjoy! :) [video=youtube;yP60TxIB29o]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yP60TxIB29o#t=1729
  10. Another day, with nothing new to hear... but every day is one day closer to A Head Full of Dreams. I don't know if they will play anything new at the Global Citizen festival but at least they are back to playing live. I have a feeling it will be less shaky and more confident. Plus, new song or not, I'm interested in how the guest artist will play a role. I can't wait! :)
  11. Round 5 is now over. The results are as follows: Viva 5 AROBTTH 2 X&Y 1 The Viva era was a big fish in a little pond, but along came two bigger ones: AROBTTH :arobtth: and its challenger X&Y :x&y:! My vote is for X&Y again. AROBTTH had so many strong b-sides and unreleased tracks that were good enough to be on the album. The tour was brilliant; simply watch Live 2003 to see why. If only I could've seen that incredible tour... Round 6 starts now! Who will survive the final elimination and be declared the greatest era of Coldplay's career?
  12. Life in Technicolor ii By the way AMDB9, the Oracle is actually a she named Debs Wild. As Coldplay tweeted a little while ago, without Debs they might not be here today. She's more than simply The Oracle... she helped the band get discovered. :) Warning Sign lyrics vs. Trouble lyrics

Hi there! Welcome to Coldplaying! I prefer older albums like Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends but I still appreciate their newer music. :) Since A Head Full of Dreams is coming soon, you joined at the right time!
  14. These new lyrics aren't all that happy and colorful like Chris seemed to suggest. Maybe the singles will be happier but the lyrics we have seen give off a mysterious vibe. The X&Y comparisons actually make a lot of sense. Also, the "fools gold thunder" lyric reminds me of Viva for some reason.
  15. UATW is beautiful. I love its simplicity and the lyrics are fantastic. Plus it has some of Will's best backing vocals! In my opinion, UATW is an acoustic song done right. Amazing!!! ;) It's the Coldplay I've always dreamed of. :D
  16. I probably will win that XD. The double posts always happen to me, it's like I'm predisposed to them.
  17. Yellow because, well... there's no Coldplay song with orange in its name. :D Ghost Stories cover art vs. A Rush of Blood to the Head cover art
  18. And I just got another double post :(
  19. Gravity I wasn't going to vote for Gravity and I really wanted to save it but I can't let Speed of Sound get out this quick. As amazing as Gravity is, Speed of Sound has a deep personal meaning to me.
  20. Those are my thoughts as well. In my opinion MX suffers from occasionally sub-par production and the tracklisting should've included Moving to Mars and Wedding Bells. GS has too much Chris and not enough of the rest of the band; Guy and Jonny could play a bigger role while Will needs real drums! Also, Atlas, All Your Friends, and Ghost Story were excluded from the regular album release. :( I honestly think that A Head Full of Dreams will improve where both of its predecessors could've been amazing.
  21. Hmm, nothing too noteworthy has happened. The Indian artist making the album artwork makes a lot of sense... I hope it can match the quality of the GS artwork.
  22. Haha we're impatient about a new Coldplay album 1 1/2 years after the last one but it's been 4 years since Fallen Empires came out! I'm starting to go a little crazy considering the new Snow Patrol album has been in progress for 2-3 years now.
