Coldplay have confirmed they are to headline this year's T In The Park festival in Scotland. The band will close the festival in its 10th anniversary year on Sunday July 13. REM are already confirmed to headline the previous night. Coldplay are also headlining the V2003 festival, which takes place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, and Weston Park, Staffordshire on August 16 and 17. Speaking about T In The Park, Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman told NME.com: "To headline the 10th birthday is a great honour." Coldplay are also headlining the V2003 festival, which takes place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, and Weston Park, Staffordshire on August 16 and 17. :D

From charlotte.com: Coldplay soars with the bombast of U2, but its live show reveals a band still discovering itself. England-based Coldplay turned somber songs about insecurity and relationships into a full rock concert, but lead singer Chris Martin carried all the weight Saturday at a sold-out Grady Cole Center. His furious eruption of energy on piano and guitar filled the stage, making the other band members nearly invisible in a sea of swirling lights and noise. Martin sang about introspection, failed relationships and fear, as he bounced on his piano stool like a Pogo stick. His aggressive style made the piano look cool. On "Shiver" and "Spies," Martin…

Dunno whether anyone's posted this yet, but this is what the NME says :-D COLDPLAY will be supported by FEEDER at their forthcoming UK arena shows. The huge gigs, at the London Earl's Court on April 16-17, as well as Manchester MEN Arena on April 14, are all sold out. Before that, Coldplay are to play alongside Bruce Springsteen and Nelly at the Grammy awards at Madison Square Garden in New York next month (February 23). The band are expected to release a new single, 'Clocks', to coincide with the shows. Yey! :D

From netmusiccountdown: When you're as big as Coldplay you can bring your friends on tour with you. And that's just what the NMC eCharting artists are doing when they hit North America later this year. They'll bring along label mates Music along for the ride. Music's self-titled debut is due on February 25. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin says he hopes Music can make the transition into headliners just like Coldplay did. "Of course, I think wow, you know, we went from playing in a matchbox to playing in this big festival, you know, but that's because we really believe we can do something special, so it's a mixture of real surprise and real arrogance," Martin sai…

Hey people, I was wondering if anyone here has heard the new song Marianne? What would really make my day is if someone had an mp3 of this song and would be willing to share it with us all. I'm dying to hear this song...someone on the other board described it as a combination of One I Love, Idiot and Murder. That sounds pretty damn good!

Did any1 else go and see them in the odessey arena in belfast on wed? if u live anywhere in ireland and didnt go then u r a f00l! it was absolutely bloody marvellous, chris even sang part of 'shining light' by ash in a fitting tribute to the local mentalists! :eyecrazy: The highlight 4me was when they played yellow and the whole place just went completely bonkers, chris let the crowd sing a fair bit of the song then declared proudly at the end: "ur all f**kin geniuses!!!" to which we all screamed our tits off! Blinder! :monalisa:

Hey guys! I went to see Coldplay last Wednesday here in Berlin and it was FABULOUS!!! Unfortunately there were way too many people and that didn't really fit the atmosphere but Chris & co. were gorgeous! I stood in front of Guy (hi, Ginger! ) and he looked really cute! He looks better with his hair slightly shorter. And Chris, man, he was soooo cute and charming! How could any girl resist him?! He spoke a lot of (really good) German and all the songs were perfect! Too bad they didn't play "Spies" and "Warning Sign" though! But they played "A Rush Of Blood To The Head" instead! I had tears in my eyes... This is the Berlin setlist: Politik Shiver A Ru…

Last night I saw Coldplay for the first time live....and I am in complete awe!!! I knew it was going to be amazing...but it exceeded all of my expectations!!!!! I managed to be the first person in the arena on my side so I was front row centre (me and the girl next to me were going potty when we realised we were standing in the best positition of the whole arena)! It was so amazing that even my friend who came with me - who previously was the biggest cynic and completely mocking my over excitement...she even said to a security guard that she really is not looking forward to it, and is only her because of her barmy friend (ME!)! She was saying half way through the sh…
