Hi everyone, I made a cover of Don't Panic (inspired by the Glastonbury-version of 2005) and I'm really not sure about my singing. I think it's not bad, but I have no clue about singing techniques or something like that so I thought I'll ask you guys and let you judge. Is this good or am I wearing the rose-tinted glasses? http://soundcloud.com/never-thought-about-names/dont-panic-coldplay-cover/s-JQaMo Thanks for your feedback!

Haven't seen any posts around the site on this subject, so thought I'd make one of my own. :D I personally greatly enjoy playing Coldplay's music on my keyboard, guitar, and harmonica, and was just wondering how many other people on here enjoy playing Coldplay's music themselves, as well. If so, what instruments have you tried playing Coldplay's music on? Which instruments do you most enjoy playing Coldplay's music on? Which Coldplay songs do you enjoy playing most, any why? Did you teach yourself or do you read music? Just curious to see people's replies... :dazzled:

What guitars do Coldplay use? I'd particularly like to know what kind of telecaster Chris uses in GPASUYF.

Hi all, originally posted this in the wrong section... I'm amazed at the organisation of this forum, plenty of cool Coldplay information. Ive been playing guitar for 3 years, and its only now that anything remotely musical is coming from my instrument I saw the coldplay stems for Rockband3 and immediately grabbed them, but I've always wanted to cover God Put a Smile Upon Your Face. The swelling driving sound and cool lyrics are something I want to replicate. I can sing a little so thats not a problem, and the backing guitar is so simple I'll have that down in a couple of hours. I've got a cool Boss Micro that has great sound quality, so layering isn't an issue …

hi been searching for cemetaries of london tab sheet music, have looked at some links on this forum, found viva album, but they are only for piano and chord names: not really aimed at guitarists . looking for the guitarist specific tab book version, of cemetaries of london in particular. the tabs i found were guitar solos only, which is like why would someone bother? anyway, if some one has a pdf scan of this song or album, would be greatly appreciated. thanks for reading. x

Just wondering if there's anybody else using this? If there aren't I HIGHLY reccomend it. Basically it's amp sim software. It has a ton of amp heads, cabs, effects and rack gear that you can use and the possibilities are endless, I'm actually going to start using this for live performances as it would be easy enough just to run my guitar through into my audio interface into my laptop into the PA, and it sounds a hell of allot better than allot of amps not so good venues have and allot lighter than lugging a decent tube amp around, and although I never thought I'd say this, it does get pretty damn close to a tube sound if you set it up right. I've been using it mainly f…

Another original song. This time with lyrics. Not high quality or anything, but the best I could come up with. This is just a short song, like Coldplay's first title song, Parachutes. Thank you! I don't like the reverb on the voice and I the record lost quality due to the high sensivity of the mic. You should maybe use a dynamic microphone or record the voice separatelyn when using a condenser mic. But that doesn't mean it's bad! I kinda have the opinion that bad sound quality reduces the quality of the whole song. So I would like to hear another record, if you find time to do one!

I need to record drums for my band and make them sound as professional as possible. Kick, Snare, Cymbals are the most important things... Toms I guess would be nice but... I've only got around 300 dollars to spend. I already have 2 Dynamic Shure Microphones that are very nice. I've got a nice mixer as well. So what are the best microphones quality/money wise for recoring Kick, Snare, Overheard Cymbals and also some tips on how to set up the mics and how to adjust the settings would be nice :) Thanks.

hello coldplayers, uh.. in fact, I am afraid of putting covers here because I saw many people are awesome. And also English is not my first language.(I don't have confidence of using it.:\) I am not good at singing or playing, but I love Coldplay. Edit: An original song would be way cooler. If there is anyone who has an unfinished song and would like to complete it, it would be so cool if we could finish it together! I just came up with that idea, that many covers could be so much better if people would work together. (yes, I came up with this while making a cover..) So I thought why not uploading my whole project file and asking other people to improve it? (It works with software (open source), so why not with music?) So here it is, my recently recorded cover of Kylie's Can't Get You Out Of My Head in the Coldplay-Glastonbury-Version. (so it's actually a cover of a cover). Feel free to download, listen, comm…
