http://www.getmetickets.net/ A ticket agency that attracted hundreds of complaints from people who said it failed to deliver the goods has been wound up by the High Court. Get Me Tickets Ltd, which offered seats for sought-after music, theatre and sport events at highly inflated prices, was put into compulsory liquidation. It had been shut by the government in February after complaints about tickets not turning up or arriving late. Deputy judge Robert Englehart QC said members of the public were "let down". Consumer minister Ian McCartney said Thursday's ruling sent "a message to anyone low enough to prey on fans' passion for music and sport events". …

The American, 77, has been in hospital for most of the last six weeks after suffering a first stroke on 16 April. His son, Joel, said Glazer is expected to be released in the next few weeks. Glazer, who is being treated at Florida's Cleveland Clinic, is finding difficulty with speech and movement on his right side. "Doctors expect my father to return home in the next few weeks," said …

  4. How Flight 77 Hitting The Pentagon Would Really Look? Is this what Flight 77 hitting the Pentagon would really look like from nearby security cameras instead of the nondescript blur footage we have been subject to? This is obviously a crude collection of doctored frames but if the government had released something similar yesterday would you have believed it? Many would. Wary therefore we are of the potential for the government to eventually release clear footage of the impact from the 84 other cameras that were dotted around the Pentagon and would have easily documented the event to debunk 9/11 skeptics. The government claims all 84 cameras either didn't …

© The Sun PETE DOHERTY has sunk to a new low of disgusting behaviour. The BABYSHAMBLES singer squirted a syringe-full of his own blood at two MTV News cameramen after injecting heroin in view of the production team. The camera lens was splattered with Pete’s claret — leaving a horrified crew scared of infection and needing to sterilise thousands of pounds worth of filming equipment. Doherty’s own bandmate DREW McCONNELL was so angry with the singer that he stormed off. It is only a fortnight since The Sun printed pictures of Pete sticking a syringe into a young girl fan’s arm. This latest stunt is equally pathetic and unforgivable. MTV News had managed to …

The BBC's latest star - a baffled cabbie He is the BBC's latest star - the cab driver who a leading presenter believed was a world expert on the internet music business. The man stepped unwittingly into the national spotlight when he was interviewed by mistake on the corporation's News 24 channel. With the seconds ticking down to a studio discussion about a court case involving Apple Computer and The Beatles' record label, a floor manager had run to reception and grabbed the man, thinking he was Guy Kewney, editor of Newswireless.net, a specialist internet publication. Actually, he was a minicab driver who had been waiting to drive Mr Kewney home. Video: Watch …

Junk food banned in school meals School meals have been criticised for their poor nutritional content School dinners in England will be free from chocolate, crisps, fizzy drinks and "low-quality" meat from the autumn, the government has announced. Education Secretary Alan Johnson has published nutrition guidelines banning meals high in salt and fat. These would "undo decades of neglect" and improve pupils' health, he said. The standards, based on recommendations by the School Meal Review Panel, follow a campaign by TV chef Jamie Oliver to improve the quality of school dinners. Fruit and vegetables From September, caterers will ensure "high-quality meat, …

  11. Judicial Watch Director of Investigations & Research and former military intelligence officer Chris Farrell says the watchdog organization plans to file another lawsuit in order to obtain as many as possible of the 84 other tapes that potentially show whatFarrell conceded that his organization could be the water carriers for a honey pot operation, in which the government attracts overwhelming attention to the Pentagon issue, making it the cornerstone of the 9/11 truth movement, and then blowing it out of the water by releasing clear footage of Flight 77. Let's just call it a baited trap, it draws somebody into a situation in which they're compromised," said Farrell…

The next series of children's drama Byker Grove will be the last, the BBC has announced. The show's cancellation comes as the CBBC programme strand begins to focus on a primary school audience. Controller of children's programmes Richard Deverell called it "a great programme for CBBC with some ground-breaking stories". Byker Grove has been running for 17 years, and launched the careers of Ant and Dec, and actress Donna Air. The drama, which is set in a Tyneside youth club, was first shown as a pilot in 1989. A full series was commissioned the following year. It has featured several hard-hitting storylines, including drug addiction, teenage pregnancy and …

McCartneys: Bitter truth behind loving facade Will she still need him when he's sixty-four? The answer alas, is not the life-affirming 'yes' which Sir Paul McCartney conveyed in his whimsical homage to enduring love. A month short of the birthday about which he fantasised on the Beatles' Sergeant Pepper album four decades ago, Sir Paul and his wife Heather have shown that the reality is a good deal less rose-tinted. No romantic twilight of "mending a fuse", "digging the garden" or a "cottage on the Isle of Wight/ If it's not too dear." Instead, he finds himself mired in a divorce battle and a welter of recrimination. Sir Paul McCartney and estranged wife Hea…

  16. Black World Cup fans 'will not get out alive' 18:06pm 17th May 2006 Black soccer fans attending the World Cup are risking their lives if they stray into parts of Germany where neo-Nazi attacks are on the rise, an anti-racism campaigner said today. Supporters should avoid parts of the eastern German state of Brandenburg, said Uwe-Karsten Heye, head of anti-racist organisation "Gesicht zeigen" ("Show face"), referring to the former communist state which surrounds Berlin. "There are small and medium-sized towns in Brandenburg and other places where I would recommend that nobody with a different skin colour go," Heye, a former government spokesman, told radio statio…

Girl, 11, will be Britain's youngest mother A girl is to become Britain's youngest mother after becoming pregnant at 11. The girl smokes 20 cigarettes a day despite being eight months' pregnant. She conceived aged 11 when she lost her virginity to a boy of 15 on a drunken night out with friends. The 15-year-old has since been charged with rape by police, and is due to appear again at Edinburgh sheriff court on July 10. How can society curb youth pregnancy? Her 34-year-old mother, who gave birth to her youngest child eight months ago, said she was 'proud' of her daughter. She will be 12 years and 8 months when she has the child next month. 25. Bush's best moment in office? Reeling in big perch BERLIN (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush told a German newspaper his best moment in more than five years in office was catching a big perch in his own lake. "You know, I've experienced many great moments and it's hard to name the best," Bush told weekly Bild am Sonntag when asked about his high point since becoming president in January 2001. "I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5 pound (3.402 kilos) perch in my lake," he told the newspaper in an interview published on Sunday. Bush said the worst moment was September 11 when hijacked planes crashed into the World Trade Centre in New…
