My cat Chester is getting old. He's put on tons of weight, and now I think he's going senile. I can see it in his eyes that sometimes he doesn't really know what's going on around him, and he seems to be afraid when I try to pet him sometimes. His physical health is also deteriorating. He always seems weak and tired. This morning, he fell between a dresser and a wall and couldn't pull himself out because of his size and lack of strength. I'm just afraid that he's going to leave and die somewhere and be old and alone or in pain or something. If he's going to die, I want to know and I want to be able to make him comfortable. But since he is a cat, he'll pr…

Have any of you ever been to prison? Or jail/gaol? The system is different in different places, in the US, if some of you people not from here do not know, jail and prison are different.

I just thought I'd throw this topic out there. I found it on another forum I go on and it's interesting, really. Guys, is there anything you wouldn't share with your friends outside of the internet that you would here? Just stuff like things that help your skin, or really effective hair products, or whether you pluck your eyebrows or wear lip balm. So yeah. I feel slightly feminine but whatever, I wanna know if there's anything that works for someone.

ok, so despite my craziness of tonight, i have a serious question. i've been asking it to the people i know in real life, but sometimes i feel like i know and like you guys better. so here it goes. i'm currently at a university (well, college) in pennsylvania. i like it in general, i like it as much as i'm going to like any college. the campus is beautiful, the facilities are nice, they have a GREAT year abroad program...i could go on and on about the nice things here. the problem is that they don't offer my major here, which is film. i knew this going in, but thought i would stick it out or major in something else. but now i know that there's nothing else i would ever…

Anybody felt this emotion lately? The emotion where you feel ready to advance, and defeat that doubt in the back of your mind that you can't complete a task simply because it seems so huge? And you're thinking, what if, what if, all the time? Do you understand? Though English is my first language, I am hardly articulate at all most of the time. What I write comes directly from my mind. Sorry.

i was just wondering what kind of people we all have as our best friends. i've got a couple. rana - she's my only muslim friend and i love her dearly for it. she helps me get more into my faith and discover what kind of a person i can be. kate - she's the person i can always have a good time with. we're pretty open friends to one another. absolutely no secrets between us. we can be completely honest. alison - she's the best of my best friends. we're opposites. when we get in fights its brutal. but i love her so much. she's the sister i never had. okay, next! :D

An Excerpt from Harvey Kaye's Thomas Paine And The Promise of America: Appreciatively acknowledging that Jesus Christ was a "virtuous and an amiable man" and that the "morality that he preached and practiced was of the most benevolent kind," Paine portrayed Jesus "the person" as a preacher of the "equality of man" and a "reformer and revolutionist." Nevertheless, Paine absolutely rejected the story of "miraculous conception...resurrection...and ascendance," noting that it is "altogether the work of other people," and "has every mark of fraud and imposition stamped upon it."

So anybody got any wicked plans for Easter Weekend? And before someone like MrCool comes along, yes I know these days Easter is mainly for commercial gain and not religious (hence why the date changes by 2/3 weeks every year), but it's a 4-day weekend, 2 free days away from work, and for that case it must be celebrated. So anybody got any plans for Easter? Eating eggs? Getting drunk? Blowing up stuff?

Someone's been a little Coldplaying addict and posted 100 posts in a month of joining :shifty:... yet :uhoh::sweatdrop: That must be a record or something, there's absolutely no way I'd get that on any other forum, some of which are even more active than here. Come on, record darnit :whatever: Oh wellz. Partay time! :crown::dance::freak: Unfortunately at this rate the forum will be flooded with my little fascination with Chris Martin  ... beware.

There's a company called VIP that is recruiting people worldwide via 'presentations'. I let the Office of Fair Trading tell the story better.... If anyone you trust [like a family member or friend approaches you to go somewhere and they don't tell you where it is or what it's about, DON'T GO!! They're fleecing people left right and centre and I almost fell into the trap!! This thing is GLOBAL. They're in Canada, South Africa, Spain, USA and are branching out to other places Other links... http://timesbusiness.typepad.com/money_weblog/2005/12/dont_be_fooled_.html http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/mirrorinvestigates/tm_column_date=05012006-name_index.html …

"2b r nt 2b?" It takes a little while to decipher this but eventually you might just recognize the famous Shakespearean line from the play Hamlet: "To be, or not to be." You may be able to decipher it, but would you consider it an acceptable representation of such a great line? Remarkably there are school examination boards in the U.K. that would! In what is surely an over-extension of positive assessment and "giving the students a chance", text-message (or SMS) language is actually being considered as acceptable as answers on examination papers. What makes this even worse is that it is being accepted in examinations for the subject of English! Other SMS messe…
