If this goes over well I will make more in the future. Basically how it works is I will pick a phrase (you can give me suggestions as well) and you have to go take a picture of that phrase. But, since it is a contest don't post it in this thread, instead PM the picture to me, or e-mail if that is easier (PM me for my e-mail). Then when the contest closes we will have a poll to pick the winner. So.... Topic: The Sky is Falling! Due: April 6th by 12:00 GMT Extension: April 9th by 12:00 GMT

We all had to talk to our guidance counseler about scheduling for next year. We have these things called career clusters, and you get to pick which area you're interested in. In every career cluster, there are different sections for different professions. For every section, there is a suggested course plan for what classes you should take in what year. The career cluster I chose was fine arts and humanities. Today, when we were discussing what section I wanted to be put in, I kept saying I didn't really know. I actually did want to be in performing arts, but I felt like he'd give me that old "that's impossible, you'll never make it, be realistic" thing. So he…

As you know, it's been taking prospekt an unusually long time to upload the tracklisting to Coldplay's new album "Viva la Vida or Death and all his friends" - In light of this I've decided it can mean only one thing, Prospekt has got lost on the way to Coldplay.com. NOW, Can you - an avid Coldplayer, Get to Coldplay.com to find out the tracklisting and tell the world of coldplay fans what said tracklisting is! As you can see, Prospekt is lost along the way, if you come across him, feel free to kick him on behalf of Coldplaying.com then continue on your mission to save the world! HOT PROSPEKT: THE GAME™ May contain traces of nuts, not suitable for children under …

When you have a cold, or cough or other minor illness do you moan or do you silently suffer? :idea2: I ask as I live in a house of moaners and it drives me insane! I hate people who will moan and whine about having these stupidly small ailments. Even worse is when they'll make stupid little noises, really obvious coughs or will grimace when they swallow things and they'll do it until you say something. :bomb: I'm not an unsympathetic person, but I hate feeling like it's forced on me and to be honest someone with a cold or similar doesn't really need it. Seriously just shut up, take an aspirin, get on with your life and be thankful that it's only a sniffle. :dozey: …

This question has been floating around in my head for a couple days, after hearing some stuff at work, where it seems relationships are happening on a musical chair style contest. The poll question is which of these 4 possible scenarios in your opinion is worst? Background - Sue and Sally are sisters, Sue is older by a year, Sue's best friend is Lucy, they have known each other for 6 years. Sue has a boyfriend who is called Gary, they have been going out for about 2 years, again after knowing each other for 6 years. Scenario 1: Sally is in love with her sister's boyfriend Gary, and when Sue is away one evening working, Sally sleeps with Gary, where Sally makes …

Because I am noticing them more today than usual. OR is it like when there is a faint buzz, but you don't hear it. Then somebody points it out, and thats all you can hear.

My best friend's birthday is coming up (I'll give you a tenner if you guess her name...maybe) and I decided to play my own little mind game with her for about a week leading up to it. Sounds devious? It gets...better... I recently bought a 7 pack of little note cards that come with envelopes and everything. They are really really really cute and they are white and red (red seems to be her best colour). Starting a week before her birthday, I'm going to write a card to her everyday, complementing her and saying what a great friend she is, all while slowly giving my identity away. I'll give them to her by either stuffing them in her locker (I know her lock code) or …

Is it true that Swiss Cheese's holes are the result of cosmic rays striking Swiss cheese wheels held in caves high in the Alps?? This thought crossed my mind today after hearing the CBC broadcast "as it happens" on the possibility of the new super-collider in Switzerland leading to the formation of black holes, which could be large enough to "swallow the earth." Of course, tiny ones, it is claimed, happen all the time in the universe, due to collisions of high-energy wavicles - Cosmic rays. Hence, some of the openings in the cheese could be resulting from tiny black holes! And, somewhere in another universe, all those pieces of missing cheese must be spilling ou…

I hope to never hear the word "like" again. For the full bus ride home, it was just me and two other random girls. Unfortunately their speech was completely saturated with the word like. They seriously said like before, like every thought and like they had to tell the story like really loud. And like now I know all about like what happened at school and how like this one guy Sebastian wanted to like meet them like in the hall. Frig it was brutal. I could feel that super frustrated feeling inside of me building up. I almost told them to shut up, and I almost just got off the bus. I recorded part of the conversation on my mp3 player (yeah I'm a creep), just so I c…

mwha sounds so philosophical.... but now seriously....I'm feeling a change currently which I'm only half sure of whether I should like it or not...it's funny how much other people can influence you....so since I've been living in Bonn I've made some good friends here and they influence me,...in a positive and a negative way....positive in so far that they made me more self-confident and all that stuff, but negative that we are some lazy bums who love to party and to drink and who like to backbite about others who maybe look different or something...bah!Now I'm one of those who I have always been the victim of....mwha probably I just want to give back the things to the …

this should be interesting I was watching something on PBS today about Quantum Mechanics. It was really well done but left me with a lot of questions. Still, from what I can tell even the most knowledgable person re: QM must have tons of unresolved questions, so let me just throw this one out there hoping there's a physic inclined person who can throw me in the right direction: What is string theory? I need an explanation. Thanks in advance.

A month ago I applied for a programme called Erasmus because I wanted to study abroad during one term and last week I was told that I've been offered a place at the University of Aberdeen. Now I've got a some questions because I'm not sure about what to do regarding the accommodation. I'm going there on my own and I suppose that the right choice would be to look for accommodation offered by the Uni (the halls of residence) because in this way it'd be easier for me to get to know other people. Anyway, I'm not sure whether I should look for a shared bedroom or a private one? About the catering, do you think it's better to cook for yourself or to have someone else to…
