So, because of Reilly's topics giving my brain a kickstart i googled 'things that make you think' and found these questions: A stitch in time saves nine what? After eating, do amphibians have to wait one hour before getting out of the water? After they make Styrofoam, what do they ship it in? --Steven Wright Are female moths called myths? Are part-time band leaders semi-conductors? Are there a lot of virgins in the Virgin Islands? Are there any unguided missiles? Are you breaking the law if you drive past those road signs that say "Do Not Pass"? Are you telling the truth if you lie in bed? Before they invented drawing boards, what did they go…

I read the newspaper today and I found interesting story. The things that happen when you can not control your own life. The topic that we are discussing right now is the Internet, but blame only the internet could be not fair. And I am not blaming Radiohead too Hikikomori:An extreme isolation Made in Japan! "People who shuts herself up in their rooms in too much time" Shutting Themselves In By MAGGIE JONES Published: January 15, 2006 One morning when he was 15, Takeshi shut the door to his bedroom, and for the next four years he did not come out. And to make this clear:I don't want to offend the turkish people (this is just an example) I only want to know why?And i…

Out of the main smileys. I'd have to say I never, ever have a reason for using this little fella:  Even when I'm being sad and bitter at people I would never ever be angry enough to use it, its just the gayest looking thing ever. I do use it now and then on very rare occasions in kind of a joke type thing but even then it looks pretty fucking stupid. Its like THIS SMILEY IMPLIES THAT IM ANGRY AT YOU  GRRRR  LOOK AT ME I'm too tired to make a decent thread. Goodnight :nice:

OK- 6th sense or whatever, but who knows for sure, we may be alive as a group social construct, but really, how much effect do we have on people, could we all just be walking the halls of limbo, together, waiting for something to really happen, for someone to actually really care? It sounds far fetched, but all this preoccupation with religion, heaven, hell, enlightenment, and that feeling of wanting to know answers but not knowing the right questions. Maybe its staring us in the face? Maybe death is actually life? Sometimes I think that people/religion have it backwards....That we are in heaven right now...free will, living, breathing...What can really be better t…

I think this is either gonna set off an awesome debate or die in a couple of hours, but I'll give it a try I'm absolutely pro. I think everyone should be able to make their own decisions without politicians or the church getting in their way. Abortions are illegal here but they're still a reality.Hundreds of women suffer the consequences of having an abortion in a wrong place with negligent people and it should be stopped. The church might reject all contraceptive devices, but still, there should be an educational campaign so everyone can make the right decision.

Should euthanasia exist unverisally, legally and ethically? Is it mere suicide? Or should terminally ill people have the right to die? I don't really know of the legality of it, I think it's been done in some countries. In America I'm sure its illegal, after the Dr. Kevorkian thing. I think only in the most dyer, severe and extreme circumstances, it should be allowed. But what I'm thinking of is the person being in a vegitive state with absolutely no hope, how could they even communicate that they want to die? Surely we couldnt assume they want to die, which would be pure madness. But what constitutes the right to die? Is it just the terminally ill? Should it be …
