March 16, 200917 yr oh hai guys I came in here on the chance there would be a Harry Potter thread and there WAS. I'm so happy. I'm now going to spend all my days here. A bit about me and Harry: Started out with Sorcerer's Stone when it came out when I was 9. Read them throughout my years until it ended when I was 19. I'm quite obsessed with the books. I can't explain why. They're they only books I could ever truly love. So, I read them often. HBP is my favorite. I'm sure they're going to fuck up the movie though... Ehh. So yeah. That's me!

March 17, 200917 yr When you anticipate a movie for this long, it's hard not to be optimistic. But while I really like what I've read, seen and heard about HBP, I will inevitably be at least somewhat dissapointed by the movie. Come the release date, fans are always forced to face the reality that it will NEVER be quite the way you imagined/wanted it to be. That said, it can still be a really good, if not great movie. It just comes down to how well and efficiently they illustrate the major parts of the book.

Order of the Phoenix, while a well made film, was a terribly disappointing adaptation, and it's the same writer and director this time around, too. From what I've read what's being included, it sounds unnecessary, and I've read some of my favorite parts from the books will be glossed over. Not only that, but they'll focus more on the stupid teenage romance stuff. It doesn't add to the story at all. Also, from the previews I've seen, they have changed the characters a bit. Harry saying "But I am the chosen one" is completely UN-characteristic of him. He's usually so modest and humble. I think it's just a load of balls. I'll love it blindly like I love all the HP movies, but I'll be pissed off at the mere thought of it forever.

Since he has also announced that he will soon release another E.P. onto Itunes, this could be taken as a preview... March 17, 200917 yr Well it the sight said that picture came from Slughorn's party (or maybe just a slug club meeting), and Alecto and Amycus Carrow were death eaters who taught and tortured students in Deathly Hallows. Now both of those characters have been confirmed to appear in HBP : In the film adaptation of Half-Blood Prince, Ralph Ineson will be playing Amycus, and Suzanne Toase will appear as Alecto. (wikipedia) And as they're brother and sister (and not two sisters as shown in the pic) we can rule it out as a flashback image from when Voldemort was in school...So my guess is that it's A. A picture of one of the two carrows children attending hogwarts (much as Lucius's son Malfoy does), or B. a mislabeled pic that is just meant to depict a couple slytherin girls. :edit: YAY! 4,000 posts! :smug: :cool: :D :jester:
