Interpol's darkest and most experimental yet. Hardly their best though.

I am 2 tracks in and loving it.

 

problem is the quality - it skips in some parts and i feel like I am missing out.

 

 

I wish there was a better one out there NOW!

yeah i feel like downloading it but im hearing terrible things about the quality so im going to wait for better quality.

i have listened to it twice. it is dark as hell.

to me there aren't too many slow paced songs like The Lighthouse, which makes me happy...

 

I love Summer Well, Success, Always Malaise, and the core part of the songs as well

 

overall, it's a great album.

 

i'm not sure anyone will say it is their best, however all of their albums bring a quality, this is different sounding album, but with previous influences all around it. love the record

Personally, I have always found it hard to choose a favorite out of the three previous albums. They are all just as great in different ways, though I usually find myself trying to decide between TOTBL and Antics as the best. But I expect the fourth will be the same. I think it will easily reach a high status in my mind album wise, based on what I've heard of it so far, but I wouldn't be quite sure where to rank it compared to the other Interpol albums.

it is hard to rank any good band when all their albums are great.

 

This one is good, and I do love OLTA, it's really good...apart from The Lighthouse, i dislike it...

i know this is completely inappropriate. but all male interpol fans will appreciate this. this is not family viewing! lol

The performance was pretty good I'd say, just makes me more excited to see them.

 

and the pre-order is up on iTunes with a bonus track, I want it!

Knowing iTunes they will make the bonus track "album" only to force people to buy the album.

Release date had been set for Sept 7th Stateside... and I would imagine the 6th in the UK??

 

I refuse to listen to the leaked stuff.... I just can't do it to the boys! I have heard Summer Well via a live recording someone did at the 2nd show, and by far (so far) its my favorite song. Can't wait to see them in 2 weeks! Going to Orlando and Miami!!! :)

 

-Also, heard the guys were in Brooklyn today filming thew video for Barricade. Saw a pic of Paul with NO SHIRT!!!!!!!!!! :D aaargh!

The Lights video was really weird - I want one with the band playing, those are better! :)

Avoiding the leak. Gonna wait until release day on this one.

the leak isn't good quality - so i am not too thrilled, but the album is wonderful and dark, i must say.

 

I've looked up set lists and they only play Barricade, Summer Well, Success and Lights, so everything else off the record hasn't been played yet.

 

still looking forward to the show!

interpol are touring aus late december early january woooo

just got back from seeing them!

they were absolutely amazing, i couldn't expect anymore.

sound was stellar and the new songs sounded great.

pics and vids before the week is over i hope...i just wanted a quick post before bed!
