Well at long last Doctor Who ditched the comedy slapstick and got dramatic and serious again - and not a moment too soon!

That was a great episode, and the first in a LONG time.

The only stupidity once again came from Donna's family, but thankfully they weren't on screen enough to ruin proceedings.

Let's hope this is the shape of things to come.;)

Another finale where Captain Jack's only there so that Captain Jack is there, and that goes for most of the other characters too. No characterisation, little actual plot, and the Daleks coming out of nowhere to take over the universe. Davros was pretty good but otherwise this has a lot of ground to make up next week.

Hasn't David Tennant already said he'll do another four extended episodes next year?

That would lead me to think there won't be a new doctor, unless they have some crazy double-doctor thing going on.

 

Although now would be the best time for my long-term master plan of having Jessica Alba as the first female doctor to come to fruition...

I've only heard one credible theory for who the new Doctor could be, (David Morrisey) and it involves Tennant's doctor still being around.

Haha, yeah I highly doubt they'd boot him at the moment, but just because there's the slight possibility that he actually does (and I really wouldn't want him to split either!) it's driving me mad! :laugh3:

 

And no I watched The Stolen Earth on Saturday... along with The Silent Library and most of Season 4. Downloaded them.

 

Then I watched most of Season 2 yesterday and today, hehe.
