U2

Featured Replies

Getting tickets was a pain in the arse! I have great seats for Philly 1 and 2. Get to see U2 in May and hopefully Coldplay later in the year! :D

I heard the fanclub members had an even harder time getting tickets. U2 has formerly apologized (see what I posted in the other u2 thread) and is offering refunds on their $40 membership fee.

Anyone going to see them on this tour?

I am debating going to the Toronto shows.. well one of them anyway. I think floor tickets are $49.50 (which makes no sense, shouldn't they be the most?).

i will be seeing them in amsterdam 13th of july....

i am soooo excited about this just can't wait! :)

Going to Glasgow to see them in June!! 4th time I'll have seen them and can't wait. The floor tickets are usually always the cheapest at U2 gigs in Europe at least.

they're playing in Ottawa the weekend before my birthday.

But its a lot of money.

50$ is a lot of money? Not really. $175 is though.

The most I ever spent on a concert was $100.

but I'm not a member of the presale, and I don't know if I'll get tickets. when does the regular sale start?

I am going to atlanta

Why are they so dang popluar in Chicago...4 sold out shows and then they are playing another two...

Why????

Why do so many people pay the high prices!!!

I don't know to be honest. I won't be going unless I get pit seats.

6 shows in Chicago??

October 29th in Dallas. Stumbled my way into some GA's. It will be my first U2 show and I'm just about more excited for it than anything in my life.

GA's are extremely hard to come across. During the general onsale, I found only one pair of tickets, lower level, a fantastic set of seats. However, I wanted some GA's, which unfortunately sold out a little too quickly.

Anyhow, on a U2 forum I posted something about trading two Dallas lower levels for two Dallas GA's and sure enough, got an email from a woman looking to trade. So now I'll be on the floor, two feet from the biggest and best band in the world.

Long story, but it's one I'm proud of.

Yah, I don't really understand how the floors are the cheapest ones, most concerts in big venues they are the same price as the best seats, meaning the ones after GA.

How much did that set you back?

to fricken much but its worth it I hope, I never even been to Georgia, poor little mississippi boy

The $50 dollars floor tickets were a rule of the band and you can only buy 2 tickets if you want the floor ones.. :)

I'm off to the Manchester gig on June 14th, most anticipated thing I've ever experienced I think.

I don't know to be honest. I won't be going unless I get pit seats.

6 shows in Chicago??

Yah, that many...I was kind of hoping for more...maybe in September...

Yah, it is weird that GA is cheaper, but I like the rule...

I guess I am spoiled and saw them last time GA for $25, it was great...

But like you said, I think the concert will be worth it, if you get GA, otherwise they will be too little

I should check on the U2 board...maybe people are selling Ga tickets in chicago...doubt it, but you never know

I'll be there... in Berlin, 7th July ... Snow Patrol + U2 - sounds like a great evening :)

I tried getting tickets today for Toronto..and nothing, even after they added 2 more Toronto dates.

1st leg...le sigh.

I'm not going til the 3rd leg, In DC

October 19th...oh so far awayyyy...

My dad's so great though, letting me skip two days of school, taking me four hours to DC, staying the night there. :D

well ottawa sold out and now 2 GA tickets go for $700-1000 CDN on ebay.

^ Yah Toronto too. I don't care, it was too much money anyway.
