Swallowed in the sea

Oh the streets you're walking on

A thousand houses long

Well that's where I belong

And you belong with me

Not swallowed in the sea...

Your skin, oh yeah your skin and bones

Turn into something beautiful

You know... you know i love you so

(plus all of 'Sparks' lyrics)

AROBTTH

I came here with a load and it feels so much lighter since i met you

Honey you should know that i could never go on without you

X&Y

All you ever wanted was love but you never looked hard enough

It's never gonna give itself up

All you ever wanted to be, living in perfect symmetry

Nothing is as down or as up as us

VLVODAAHF

The sky could be blue, i don't mind

Without you it's a waste of time

Mylo Xyloto

Light a fire

A fire, a spark

Light a flame in my heart

we'll run wild

We'll be glowing in the dark :)

Here are a few I've always like:

I'm going to buy a gun and start a war if you can show me something worth fighting for. -AROBTTH

I hear you laugh, I heard you sing, I wouldn't change a single thing.-Til Kingdom Come

Just because I'm losing, doesn't mean I lost. Doesn't mean I'll stop.

Lost

Meet me on the road

Meet me where I said

Blame it all upon

A rush of blood to the head

Ohohohoh - pretty much every Coldplay song

On topic: I really like how the last lines of LITii fall together with the music. It's a wonderful climax:

Gravity release me

And don't ever hold me down

Now my feet won't touch the ground

I don't want to be a soldier

Who the captain of some sinking ship

Would stow, far below.

If you go, and leave me down here on my own, then I'll wait for you.

Night makes a fool of us in the daylight.

If you love me, why'd you let me go?

"Got one eye on the road and one on you. No d-dont believe a word, it's just us against the world"

love those lines.

I have so many favorite parts.

Most are from the CD A Rush of Blood to the heard. :wacky:

Look at earth from outer space

Everyone must find the place

Give me time and give me space

Give me real, don't give me fake

Give me strength, reserve control

Give me heart and give me soul

Give me time give us a kiss

Tell me your own Politik

I love the first two lines from that song, because I like the suggestion that all the craziness people put each other through is even more insane when you look at the Earth itself-there's a real existential sort of thing going on there that I appreciate. If that makes sense.

I also really like the "And give me love over, love over, love over this" bit, too. Given what this song was inspired by, something about that part and the way he sings it just sounds so comforting and hopeful.

That's a good one. I also love,

Priests clutched onto bibles hollowed out to fit their rifles.

The imagery there is just awesome. As is this from "Viva La Vida":

I discovered that my castles stand upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand

And finally, there's "When she was just a girl, she expected the world/But it flew away from her reach, so she ran away in her sleep" and the two song snippets in my signature. "Fix You" and "Paradise" I can relate so easily to, and the bit from "The Scientist"...well, I just find that beautiful and romantic.

I actually love the lyrics of the whole song. I mean, Coldplay songs are very beautiful, but Politik has such beautiful, and truthful lyrics from the beginning to the end. Well, it's just my feeling, actually. I remember, the first that I listened to it while really paying attention to the lyrics, I was like : "Oh maan...that is so beautiful and so true  " The whole song just...gets to me, you know ? :wacky:

I completely understand. I felt that way when I first really noticed the lyrics, too :). This band has an uncanny knack for making songs like that, being simple and yet truthful all at once is not an easy thing to pull off.

Each and every Coldplay has got brilliant lyrics, both meaningful and plain spoken, honest. Very often I can relate to them, and this is not the case with the other bands. Perhaps my favourite are Clocks lyrics...

Curse missed opportunities...

Home, where I wanted to go...

...and such stuff, that's my thing

Though Though Though Though Though Though heavily we bled...still on we crawl...

What good is it to give with nothing left to live

Forget but not forgive, not loving all you see

SWALLOWED IN THE SEA

"Might have to go where they don't know my name,

Float all over the world, just to see her again,

And i wont show or feel any pain,

Even though all my armor might rust in the rain,

A simple plot, but i know one day, good things are coming our way"

Up with the birds - Mylo Xyloto

Just magnificent!

The sky could fall could fall on me

The parting of the seas

But you mean more mean more to me

Than any colour I can see

One of my favorite lyrics!! I feel like the song Moses is soooo underated :\

The first lines of Paradise are great:

When she was just a girl

She expected the world

But it flew away from her reach

So she ran away in a sleep

And dreamed of paradise

"Might have to go where they don't know my name,

Float all over the world, just to see her again,

And i wont show or feel any pain,

Even though all my armor might rust in the rain,

A simple plot, but i know one day, good things are coming our way"

Right now I really like the "a message" lyrics. I've always loved all their lyrics though. They work on an emotional level rather than a literary level, if that makes any sense.

I like Swallowed in The Sea and Up With the Birds and A Warning Sign a lot too....

is there anybody out there whois lost and hurt and lonely tooare they bleeding all your colours into one
