This is how I discovered Sufjan Stevens. But I love his music, really. Got so much into his music recently. But still, I can't stop thinking about Snow Patrol when I hear him. Especially when Chicago comes on.

October 26, 200916 yr thoughts on the new album? i;ve been hearing some very very mixed reviews on the BQE. i've heard 4 tracks so far and some of it is quite incredible whereas other parts sound a little odd, as if he is trying to sound all modern and experimental just for the hell of it. i will listen properly post-exams

February 11, 201016 yr The "Why Don't We Have a Thread for the Amazing Sufjan Stevens" Thread :surprised: Why is there not a thread for him?!?!?! He's incredible :wacky: His songs are just some of the most amazing pieces of art I've ever heard. I'm a fairly new fan but I can tell you that I was blown away by this beautiful man's talent :D My favorite songs are (in no particular order): The Dress Looks Nice On You Casimir Pulaski Day To Be Alone With You John Wayne Gacy, Jr Holland The Lord God Bird A great writer in terms of lyrics and a talented individual when it comes to instruments. His lyrics almost usually always have some type of religious reference (as Sufjan is a very religious guy) but he uses so much symbolism that you have to be very intent on finding the religious message. He's just awesome like that :cool4: :charming: Also, in some of his songs, it's like getting a history lessons and I learn something new everytime I listen to his songs!
