April 2, 200917 yr BUMP! i just fell in love with arctic monkeys maybe a month ago. i still cant get over how awesome they are:D
April 2, 200917 yr I fell in love with them like a month ago too, and yes, they are quite brilliant :D
April 2, 200917 yr Does anyone else find that listening back on the first album it's not as good as you remember? Or maybe it's just because I love the 2nd one so much. I can't wait for the new album, I've tried to avoid live youtube videos but I have listened to (and love) Terror Pocket and Crying Lightning

It wasn't until listening to the second album that I really started to like them.
April 3, 200917 yr That's totally true... someone just asked me a few days ago which album I liked better. And I immediately said the first one... cause I just remember it being amazing. But then I went and looked at the track listing... and it's a lot harder of a decision that I thought.
April 3, 200917 yr yeah. my friends and I have asked each other that question too. I kinda like songs from both albums... but I just said I prefer the second..
April 3, 200917 yr i will never get over how amazing their debut was, its right up there as one of my favourite albums of all time and there arent many albums that ive listened to as many times as that. in hindsight having listened to both of their epic releases countless times ive decided that the sophomore does not have any bad songs on it at all(would love to use titles but theyre sooo freaking long) but the debut is a better album overall. to me it just flows better but does have the odd shitty song on it.
April 3, 200917 yr Arctic Monkeys DVD Gets U.S. Release Those American Arctic Monkeys fans worried about regions and DVD player specifications after the group's concert movie Arctic Monkeys at The Apollo hit the UK-- but not the U.S.-- last year can stop worrying. Because the release is coming out in the States on May 5 via Warp Films. Everything's cool. Chill out. To entice U.S. fans to buy the DVD, the boys are throwing in another disc-- a 10-track live CD recorded in Austin, Texas that's exclusive to the U.S. release. That's two discs, for those counting at home. Two! In other, slightly more exciting Arctic Monkeys news, the group is currently finishing up their third LP, according to a recent blog post. They're also working on a cover of Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" and dissing Crocs, [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwWWn_Fob5k]according to a recent silly YouTube video[/ame]. April 4, 200917 yr ^^ theres something very unique about that dvd. there is not a single shot of the crowd. but you dont really notice it when u watch it. and they finished with the wrong song. it should have been A Certain Romance. the last few months ive been thinking. if Whole Lotta Love sums up the classic rock sound of the early 70s. Love will tear us apart defining the post punk era. smells like teen spirit defining grunge. then i think that A Certain Romance should be the song through which the indie rock sound of the mid 2000s should be remembered by. just my opinion but its a bloody amazing song
April 15, 200917 yr P Diddy "i'm proud to be the newest member of the artic monkeys" its ARCTIC you idiot.

May 20, 200917 yr hope they come out with their album sooner rather than later. when they were down here in aus they said they were "73%" done from memory. the new songs sounded pretty decent live but its going to be near impossible to live upto the brilliance of their first 2 albums.
May 21, 200917 yr Yeah from the previews, nothing is outstanding yet, but sounds good. It actually sounds more shadow-puppets than Arctic Monkeys

The 2nd album was'nt good. It was rubbish and boring!
May 21, 200917 yr ^I dont love the Arctic Monkys sooo much, Personally I find them a bit overrated, sorry. But I dont think, compared to the first album, its very good, it actually turned me off them. The first album was pretty awesome!!
May 21, 200917 yr I think the first album was more consistent. Great all the way through. Nightmare has a few dud spots in it around some brilliant songs (505, Flourescent, etc.) SO I am hoping for some more consistency from the 3rd album. By the way, have you heard the Last Shadow Puppets and The Rascals? Similar sound to AM, I like them too!
