That's one of the disadvantages when you become too famous in a too short period of time, just as they did. Such a shame, I always hoped it'll never come to pass with them. But hopefully it's just an exceptional case, which won't make you feel better, of course. I feel with you. ;)

Yah :\ i heard about them canceling the show. One of my friends was really mad at them too because she was going to see them then too. I'm so sorry, I don't know what made them choose this awards show over that though. I've heard they have really bad managing, I'm not trying to make excuses for them though, obviously the band themselves had a say in what to do too.

I see Kasabian are cashing in by re-releasing their 3 albums in a single box-set

There's been a few of their French gigs cancelled in the last 12 months or so, sadly. For various different reasons. It's quite shitty of them really, they must know there's a lot of UK fans that travel to see them play smaller gig in Europe, but then they're under pressure from the record co. to do the red carpet stuff too. :shrug:

 

Same with the re-release, if anyone's cashing in it's the record co. taking advantage of new fans that might have been thinking of buying West Ryder. If it was proper cashing in tho, they'd have thrown in a couple of bad remixes, some demos and an old, discarded b-side to get the old fans buying it too...:P

What bothers me isn't that they canceled. This is not the first time (nor the last) that a group cancels a concert to go to a ceremony or an event which will show them to the world and not only few hundred persons. But in this case they have to be honest with their fans rather than say they cancel for personal reasons.

Anyway, I'm upset but yesterday I saw them opening for Muse and I completely forgot about that. I am a weak person. :\

At least you still got to see them, I guess.

Anyway, I think I'm totally in love, even if they were sound problems (you couldn't hear Tom at all the beginning and the sound wasn't the best), they were totally awesome!!!!

I don't know if the rest of the crowd was really into it, but me and my friends totally were :dance:

And I got totally awesome pictures of Sergio, he wore a blue shirt with flowers with a red bandana with flowers haha, you need to see that xD

Like Perrine, it was awesome (STADE DE FRANCE COME ON !!!!!) but the sound was crap :dozey:. I was a bit far from the scene (even if I had the best seat you could have had). I filmed a bit but as I wanted to enjoy the gig I just filmed part of the songs. I will post them in the Kasabian thread.

 

I will never see them again (:whistle:) but now I can't stop listening to them.

Their set itself was awful though due to baaaaad sound problems. :\

Tom's microphone was way too silent, they were playing out of synch even!

Only for the last couple of minutes it became better.

I am sure that was the reason for the crowd not being that crazy for them... I wasn't really enjoying it as well. :disappointed:

Such a shame.

I was so looking forward to see them again but this was not what I was expecting!!
