GWYNETH PALTROW is planning to fulfil a musical dream by hitting the road with her COUNTRY STRONG co-star TIM MCGRAW for a number of live shows.

 

The pair teams up on screen in the new movie, which sees the Oscar-winning actress test her singing skills as a washed-up country star.

 

Paltrow, married to Coldplay rocker Chris Martin, proved her musical prowess by performing live at the Country Music Association Awards last month (Nov10), and she's hoping to test out life as a real country star by hitting the road with MCGraw.

 

She tells EW.com, "(MCGraw) keeps joking that I should go on the road as his opening act. And I keep saying, 'Let's do it. Let's make it happen.' I don't know about a whole tour but maybe a string of nights could be fun... I'm not sure I would ever quit my current job and become a full-time singer. I love my day job and we already have a musician in the family."

GWYNETH PALTROW has confirmed she's considering using her new-found singing skills to tackle a role in the upcoming movie adaptation of hit Broadway musical ROCK OF AGES.

 

The show, which features songs from artists including Bon Jovi, Twisted Sister and Poison, is set for a cinematic make-over with Tom Cruise in talks to join the project.

 

Paltrow has now revealed she's also considering signing up, after proving her musical prowess in new movie Country Strong.

 

She tells EW.com, "It sounds cool. I just got the script and I will read it on the plane home tomorrow. But it sounds like it could be fun."

 

Alec Baldwin is also reportedly in negotiations to join the cast, while producer Jenno Topping remains hopeful that Tom Cruise will make his involvement official: "(He is) in discussions. It's real. Although, it is not cemented."

Was really surprised of her performance when i saw it, wasn't sure what to expect. Thought it was great, she must of been pretty nervous.

I'm a little late commenting on her dress (the white one), but I don't think it was that bad. I mean, it wasn't the most beautiful dress in the world, but I've seen worse.

The thread is already here and has been here for years. No amount of whining and bitching has done anything to change that. Some people would take that as a hint to stfu and move on.
