The media sells airtime/ magazines, etc. based on Controversy. It's just an effective way to get people to read.. If they said something like "Gwen and Chris are perfectly happy together, and their children are happy" would that get anyone's attention? It's a formula that works to sell readership, and so you can only expect as much from the press..

 

Well, put it this way, everyone was quite yay when Gwyneth and Chris announced their marraige, birth of Apple, birth of Moses. The tabloids aren't so happy however that they refuse to be seen in public together, show baby photos of their kids, show wedding photos etc so the thing that would get them the most readers with the pair at the moment is a divorce, which they are trying to sort of do by reporting that their marriage is on the rocks, even if it isn't.

 

I honestly don't get what's with the "Gwyn went with her friends instead of Chris OH NOEZ" thing. Can't the girl spend some time with her friends for once? Sheesh.

The show in Spain was filmed in 2007,not this year.And Gwyneth said she went home every couple of days,

After appearing in an ad for Italian company Tod’s this summer wearing a fur stole, many wondered how Gwyneth Paltrow reconciled wearing a dead animal with her eco-friendly, pro-vegetarian views. The actress, who’s a good friend of vocal animal rights activist and designer Stella McCartney, was reprimanded by PETA for seemingly supporting fur.

 

Back in August, PETA said,

 

“Gwyneth Paltrow won’t be the apple of her daughter’s eye if she continues to flaunt fur.It’s a terrible example to set for a young child, promoting an industry that electrocutes animals, snaps their necks and skins them alive.”

 

PETA caught up with Gwyneth this weekend in Miami and asked her what the deal was with the fur stole, and she responded:

“That was awkward, and I’m glad you asked, because I do not wear fur at all. It was a daylong photo shoot on a boat near Capri, and there were all sorts of poses with all kinds of clothes—none with fur. During one set-up, a stylist came up from behind and draped a stole around my shoulders. I didn’t pay much attention to it, and when I noticed it was fur I assumed it was fake fur but did not ask, so it’s my fault. I was very surprised when they ended up using that one shot out of hundreds for the centerpiece of the Tod’s ads. I know it’s not a great excuse, but I hope you and your members understand.”

Gwyneth also said that she and her husband are pretty much vegetarian, and that she knows a vegetarian diet is the best thing for her family’s health as well as for animals and the environment. PETA hopes that someday she’ll take part in their ‘Meat’s Not Green’ campaign.

 

In the meantime, let’s hope she pays more attention to suspiciously-furry-feeling garments that she’s being clothed in at photo shoots.

aw her response makes me happy. She seems pretty polite about it too, considering what peta said about her. Whatever anyone here might think of Peta, Im always a bit put off when fur is glamourised (it seems to be a hot trend this fall sadly when i think most of people are kind of put off by what goes into making that fur trim) and when I saw that ad with her in it I didnt think it made much sense since she used to eat mainly vegan. It just didnt add up and Im glad she cleared it up.

 

As for the chris and gwyneth marriage trouble rumours... its probably a load of garbage. They just need some gossip to report on so theyre rehashing possible break-up stories. They do this with tons of celebrity couples so that for those that do end up splitting up, they can write about it and go "see, we knew this was coming months ago." and then the public continues to buy and read that garbage.

and anyway... a couple doesnt always have to be together to *be* together. I havent seen my bf of 4 and a half years in 3 weeks because he lives an hour and a half bus ride away and other things have come up... and any given friday or saturday night if his friends see him without me they start asking him if "everythings alright" between us. =\

Yeah but it's Madonna. Gwyneth has had a much different upbringing. She's classy and professional.

I hope everything is OK. I just can't see Chris with anyone else for some reason. He would be really sad too, i think if anything happened. :( I try not believe all these rumours, but there is just so many it makes you wonder!

The ring makes me wonder. That's it.

I think they are a target for the press is because Gwyneth puts up a front/image that their marriage is so perfect and if everyone does what she does than their man won't leave. I know there was something about that recently and those comments upset a lot of wives.

 

The point is all relationships have problems, and if a relationship does not have any problems than there is a problem. The problems don't have to be big to where it would cause the relationship to fail but to make it seem like everything is all dandy, perfect and like paradise is just providing ammunition for the haters. But, if she would come out and say, which she does not need to do, that there they do have some problems because of their careers and at times it is hard than I think the pressure would ease off them.

 

As for the ring...I have never seen him without his ring but if he does not wear his ring in concert than that should not be a big deal. If he's not wearing it in public could it be that the ring might be getting tight or too loose for him to wear? BTW...Is there a pic of him without his ring in public?

Remember though, she allegedly said that to Madonna. She was never actually quoted saying that. She was only quoted saying she would support her friend whatever. Newspapers can literally make things like that up if they don't actually say she said it as a quote. They can write things in a very clever way suggesting it is a quote, when it's just something they added in for effect and to embellish the story.

 

Chances are it was more along the lines of trying to work things out for the sake of the kids, not stay miserable forever for the kids. I think we need to remember the aim of the media before we jump to any conclusions. They want the juiciest story, not the boring truth.

Don't rumors off them breaking up surface every year? i think its rubbish again i mean the ring not being on means nothing, these days people always leave wedding rings off it could have gotten to big and his worried about losing it, n plus Gwyneth has had hers on at all the events lately and wasn't she spotted at a concert with Blythe a few weeks ago???

Why do you have a bad feeling about them? I think they'll last. The fact that they don't live in Hollywood is one thing they have going for them. Now, I don't know the affect of living in London is when it comes to the pressure of being in a relationship but living in Hollywood is brutal for a lot of relationships.
