i bet chris, rather than congratulating gwyneth on the nomination, burst into tears upon finding out because he now has to find some way to go to the event while NOT being seen with her, yet also not alerting the press to the fact that they're not going in/seated together :lol:

 

seriously, though, chris HAS to go to the ceremony with so many top nominations, there's really no question about his going. and it's so unlike gwyneth to miss any sort of red carpet event she can get dressed up for, and she IS up for an award...i figure they'll both be there :sneaky: :lol:

Yes, most of the awards are presented much earlier so I can see her not being there. Plus, I don't think she will attend because this event celebrates Chris's job and it's his time to shine. I think she made a comment about that on Oprah and why we will never see them together at any of the events that celebrate their jobs.

 

Exactly. They both have to be there, despite Chris wanting to slip in and be seated away from her - Gwyn also has to go because Iron Man got some nominations as well. Interesting to see how this will work out...

 

What does Iron Man have to do with this? Did she sing a song in the movie or did she write a few songs to the soundtrack that got nominated? I've never seen the movie so I do not know. Just because a movie's score or song gets nominated for a Grammy does not mean that the actors in the film would go to the event because something that is non-acting related is nominated. The only actors I have ever seen at the Grammys are the ones who also make CDs such as Jamie Fox, Beyonce, Barbara Streisand (that's an old one), and so forth. Anyways, the Grammys celebrate music while the Oscars/Golden Globes celebrate the whole movie and those are the events actors do attend.

Because Gwyneth will go to an event she can get dressed up for - Iron Man being a nominate only boosts her excuse to go :P
