GWYNETH PALTROW and CHRIS MARTIN celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in London over the weekend (06-07Dec08) - brushing off rumours their marriage is in trouble.

The couple - who have two children together - wed on 05 December 2003, but they have recently been dogged by rumours of an impending split.

And speculation about their relationship mounted on Friday (05Dec08) after Coldplay star Martin was pictured leaving the family's London home alone, carrying his guitar.

But a representative for the Hollywood actress insists that the couple spent the landmark day together with their children.

The spokesperson tells the New York Daily News, "(They) had a lovely day celebrating

^yeah, chris has said that too. i think that you're probably right, but i don't think it would be worth it, because chris seems to take things really, really hard. he'd probably spend a year or so in some deep depression, and THEN we'd get an album after another year of recording. and masterpiece or not, i bet it would be astonishingly different than anything else they've ever put out. not that that's a bad thing, of course, but i think it would be so incredibly different that it would change the face of the band.

but what do i know?

I agree. AROBTTH (which I still think is their best work) came after his break up with his ex gf and he went a bit crazy with it. Turned up to award shows drunk, ran out of venues before shows and refused to go back etc.

So if he ever split with Gwyneth we'd get an album even better that AROBTTH but I'm not sure the poor Coldplay boys could cope with the mess Chris would undoubtedly become. :P

On an interview recently Chris was talking about the first time he met Gwen Stefani. He said he was in a restaurant or at a club and had a fight with someone..

Then he said this person that he had the fight with ran out, (it had to be Gwyneth) and he went back in to the club and was crying and sat down with Gwen.He said he was very embarrassed. So if he was crying after this fight, who knows how he would be if they split.

i always took that story to mean that he got in a fight with some pap or something outside and not gwyneth, but that's just me. i've only heard the version he told on triple M, too, and maybe he told it with different implications in another venue some other time.

i think its a pretty hilarious story, though . poor chrissy.

I think I'd be a little embarrassed if I was married to Gwyneth Paltrow. She makes a real show of her life.

You know, I used to like Gwyneth Paltrow. But recently, I've gotten to dislike her. I'm not sure when it started, but I think that whole "GOOP" lifestyle website had something to do with it. Maybe it was her timing? I mean telling people "my life is great because I'm not passive about it" (yeah, it is great because you're a multimillionaire from a Hollywood family and never have and never will know what it's like to struggle) and "go visit a city you've never been to" and "go treat yourself to something" when we are in the worst economic times since the Great Depression, and thousands of people are getting laid off everyday, and the public, worldwide, is struggling to get by...I just find it...I just think her timing was off. *rant over*

Maybe I've just jumped on the anti-Gwyneth bandwagon...I don't know. Plus she's a bit, plain looking. Oh well.

I'm sure she's not that bad, if Chris is married to her...
