i hardly ever take other people's ratings serious. i mean when you ask people about looks for example when you new clothes or a new haircut and you wanna know what they think about it, few people would tell you 'sorry, but i looks bad'. so most the time, i don't listen what other people say about, except my best friends of course.

Well because Ive rarely got a positve (or negative really) compliment of a girl. :confused:

I should make it clear that my looks are something I barely care about, but they do exist and I acknowledge them from time to time.

 

In a conversation the other night when me and a group of people were talking about this, the people who truely dont care about their looks could just say a number and it wouldnt mean anything, but then there was people who were like spending ages thinking about it and it was pretty obvious it meant a lot to them.

 

The ironic thing in the question is that sometimes its the people who cant answer who care the most about looks and are trying to cover it up (I am not saying that about you Loretto! But about the people from the other night)

actually, i think everybody should think that he/she looks for 10 of 10 or 100 of 100, and just don't care if he/she receives negative compliments

I don't know.. it's just that I know I'm not goodlooking so I try to focus on another things... even If I'd be goodlooking... I know that's important but it's just a temporal thing... people gets older and a lot of changes happen and there would be another things too... an accident or something like that..

i see what your saying but i know that from my own feelings (honestly dont mean to sound bad here) that i couldnt really go out with a girl even if she had a great personality but wasnt that good looking, thats how it is with me,and on the otherhand i couldnt go out with a beautiful girl if she was an absolute dunce! for me its trying to find a balance of the 2 and im still bloody looking!! lol
