  • I just wanted to say, after 5 years of being part of the Coldplay fandom, first on Coldplaying, now on Coldplaying, Twitter and other platforms, a wonderful thing happened today: Coldplay followed me

  • I ran away
    I ran away

On this day exactly 5 years ago, a young and innocent person who was just getting really into Coldplay wanted to sign up on a forum called Coldplaying. Faced with the question of what to pick as a use

  • Today exactly 5 years ago, I joined the Coldplaying community and I don't regret that that. To be honest, it's probably one of the best things that have happened in my life! I had never thought I woul

THey inspired a chord progression 11 years ago that I finally completed and put words to two weeks ago! They really are an inspiration!:D Some of my best songs have been Coldplay-inspired.

Yesterday at gym our normal instructor had sent a substitute. Her music was a bit more hitlist-like and included Rihanna, Bruno Mars and Coldplay (with Every Teardrop is a Waterfall).

That is the first time that I have heard Coldplay played in connection with gym / aerobic.

"Every Teardrop" would be a great song to play while exercising! Heck, I've been known to dance around to that song in my house before :D.

I was listening to Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall as well today as I was exercising. :) It helps to keep you going! :)

Couple things from there that struck me funny (not so much funny "ha ha" as funny "okay, that's interesting"):

1. The discussion between the guys about some shooting that occurred near the Hollywood Bowl...what was it, the night before they came through?

2. The guy at Red Rocks telling all the crew that they weren't going to pat anyone down 'cause this wasn't a "metal band or hippie band" coming through (???? 'Cause those are the only two sorts of bands you'd worry about, I guess?) and the concealed weapons thing.

Such great examples of the U.S. to present to people from England!

I also like when Chris rescued that poor kitten .

Heck! I exercise to the band's interviews and it works. Chris on Howard Stern is my current favorite. I go non stop for all 90 minutes of the interview.

Just watched the geography teacher clip from Live 2003 again. It always makes me laugh. :D

A few days ago I was feeling kinda sad, but someone tweeted about this video and so I watched it and I felt instantly better :D

It does always make me laugh! :D

^OHMYGOD He tweeted that ?! hahahaha he is!

He's so funny & cute :dazzled:

:dazzled:

The only thing gayer than his tweets are my posts. :P

There is a Dr. Who episode that is called 42..And one called Sound of drums..Guess what it made me think of. :wideeyed:

shrugs.gif :laugh3:

Hint for Sound of Drums = It was the wicked and wild wind

Blew down the doors to let me in

Shattered windows and the sound of drums

People couldn't believe what I'd become

I know.. LOL.. I was trying to be ... well funny! :P :embarrassed:

Oh sorry. If someone told me that sound of drums reminded them of Coldplay, I wouldn't have a clue for what they were talking about. :laugh3:

It's a shame that the episode '42' was aired in 2007 otherwise they could have used the song 42 in it. It would have fit really well I think!

I was thinking the same when I saw the episode.

Well does the episode have anything to do with those who are dead are not dead? (Zombies FTW.)

Because the song doesn't have the number 42 in it.

It probably has some Hitchhiker's Guide reference, right?

Have they ever explained why was the song named "42"?

(Besides the "explanation" that all great bands need a song named after a number.)

I think that Chris thinks that he's gonna die at the age of 42.

Or Guy. In a freak tanning booth/beauty salon accident. :(

I'm really frustrated. I know someone who just got tickets to the Xcel show right by the stage. And for half the price! I got mine on the first day and I'm towards the back! :/ Oh well, I won't care when I get there. :)

Well there's this living sun which infects this guy and he goes around killing people so I guess that's kind of like a zombie :laugh3: The episode is called 42 because they have 42 minutes to save everyone and the episode is 42 minutes long so its all in real-time which is cool. I think the number 42 also pops up a few times in the episode.

I guess the song is called that because of the theme of trying to find further meaning to life (time is so short and I'm sure there must be something more...) hence 42 which is supposed to be the meaning of life according to Hitchhiker's.
