today my school had this day that we have every year where they cancel classes and we talk about a significant problem in the world, like last year we talked about racism (yeah, my school's weird). this year the topic was socio-economic status and money in general, and we had a big group discussion about povery and the world economy and all that. so i got up there and started talking all about fair trade and what we've got to do about it and all, and i wouldnt have known anything about the whole problem at all if it wasnt for coldplay. i sat back down and thought of coldplay and felt really nice. it was cool that i actually knew what i was talking about enough to convince other people of it. and that coldplay stands for it all, and so do i.

must get my hands on a MAKE TRADE FAIR t-shirt.

i like really really want to go out right now and buy the CDs. gah. for some reason im really excited about checking them out. do they sound anything like coldplay? ive heard both that they do and they dont. it just sounds like it'll be in the same coldplay vein.

 

i know i asked this in another thread, but in that pic in your siggy, is chris just wearing someones glasses or does he ACTUALLY need them? ive just never seen a pic with him wearing them before.

What Lore did must have triggered the dream I had last night. I had a dream that me and my best friend drove around for about an hour looking for the right hotel to see Coldplay because they were in town that night. We see this group of people and go, "...What are you waiting for?" and they scream, "COLDPLAY!" and I go, "Oh, GOOD! Just making sure this was the right hotel! :D "

 

But Seriously, I never thought about going to the hotels before. It's brilliant! :stunned:

Last year in Business Studies we were learning something about trade policies and free trade and all that... and our teacher was saying that our free trade agreement with America is more beneficial to them than us because one of Australia's main exports is beef but beef wasn't is the agreement because America didn't want their beef industry threatened (understandably). Anyway, then I said something about how I thought free trade was a bit stupid in some cases and that the bigger countries will always try to make more profit out of it than the little countries and that's why people should have fair trade not free trade because it will help with poverty and that.

 

Sir agreed and then this guy in my class was like "How do you even know all that stuff, Nadia?" and I had to admit that I knew it because I was introduced to it through Coldplay.

 

I loved that class. I miss it. The teacher was my favourite teacher in the school.

I made the mistake for peeping at the mo at school, and my best friend walked up behind me and yelled OMG THAT IS NOT THE MUSTACHE YOU LIKE SO MUCH, THAT IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING, YOU ARE NASTY, then I jumped on my feet, "I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY, THE MO IS SEXY!!! MAKE FUN OF ME ALL YOU WANT, I LOVE THE MO."

yeah, it was just a nice feeling. though no one asked me how i knew it all. im kinda glad, because i know people would roll their eyes. i did tell my favorite teacher later on that the discussion my group had was great and i got to talk about fair trade and he was like "wooow, fair trade? thats pretty cool, i didnt know you were into that." the truth is, economics bore the CRAP out of me, like when we talk about economic theory or economic depressions or panics in history class, but somehow fair trade really interests me. almost definitley because of coldplay, namely the live 2003 tour diary and the two fingers to poverty vid. ohhh, i just love them.

 

in other news, im foaming at the mouth at the prospect of hearing new coldplay material in a few short days. PLEEEEEEEASE someone record the audio from each concert? pleeeease?

^^fluMTonks: oh my god! that's horrible! i assume youre ok now that youre home and writing here and all, but i hope you feel back up to 100% as soon as possible. even if that one song didnt work so well for you (lol, BTW), i know coldplay can only help you get back to normal.

thanks Awhisper! I'm sore as hell, but I'm glad to be alive! :) I've been listening to Coldplay even more since the accident (if that's even possible :thinking:).

To make it even better... NEW SONGS!! I can't wait for the recordings from tonights performance! I'm jumping with excitement (more like limp-jumping :lol:). And more Coldplay obsessed! YAY! I thought me and Anna were the only 2 for miles!! :D

Driving yesterday listening to the alternative station and all of sudden Yellow comes on which they never play CP on there guess it was for Valentines Day... then I get to physical therapy where I was headed to and they play some classic rock station, this was really weird after hearing Led Zep, Stones, then comes SOS... what? Any way I just started singing while doing my exercises and the therapist says who is that? I said my favorite band the best in the world! hahah! Pointed to my CP watch that I happened to wear and I never wear it hardly cause I don't want to mess it up. So it was a Coldplay day!

Watching VH1 in a friend's room, and I noticed that they used three or four Coldplay songs in a show...I mentioned that and got some weird looks.

I wore my Coldplay shirt today! :D I love that shirt, it's my favorite.

And while I was doing my homework I was listening to my iPod and Gravity popped up. It gave me goosebumps, seriously. And right now I have Animals on repeat.
