i wouldn't call Italy cheater, they had a great tournament so far, and Lippi probably is the best coach in the whole world at the moment. it wasn't easy for him to build this team. well done! congrats Italy! and congrats France who had amazing tournament as well, but less luck than Italians today!

Zidane definitely deserved the red card....he could have really hurt Materazzi. headbutting someone in the chest is dangerous!! winding someone, breaking a rib, making their heart stop or something!!! Very bad.

 

Well done Italy! France's game penalty was questionable....and Italy actually scored their game goal. Their penalties were taken with determination and conviction, they really believed in themselves and were confident (england TAKE note!!!!) Im glad they won. Zidanes incident shamed France really.

Divers should be given a straight red card, that will stop the diving.

Italy would win the penalties anyway...Buffon is one of the best keepers in the world and he especially is good at penalties

 

at the other side:

 

Barthez...who had no clue actually where the ball did/will go...he just tried to guess the direction

 

even if Trezegoal would score in the 2nd pair, i think Buffon would save the 6th or 7th FRA's penalty. Barthez would have no chances against Italians who were in great psychical condition today...

Well.. I was pretty sad about France losing, and I'm really disappointed about Zidane.. I wish he would have ended his career with the glory and honor that was given to him by his country till this incident.. Although it was very stupid, I feel sorry for him because leaving like this is horrible!

 

France definitely played better, especially in the second half, but I knew that they wouldn't win the penalty shoot-out, Buffon is just TOO good and France was missing Zidane..
