Concerts/Artists you have seen/Are planning to see

Featured Replies

^I noticed that you have been to several great concerts lately including Muse / U2 and the Killers - and soon PAUL McCartney (on 11.5).

Some years ago, Paul McCartney gave a concert in Copenhagen. A friend of mine was invited by her husband to go with him to see Paul McCartney - alright, she thought. 10 days after the concert, she had not landed yet, but felt like flying. She was still so ecstatic.

So I think that you can look forward to a quite EPIC experience. I am sure that he will also sing some BEATLES favourite songs.

Yeah I've been so lucky, since February I've seen The Killers (twice), LCD Soundsystem, Kanye West, Muse, U2, The National and some other bands. This is the best concert year ever

Paul McCartney?! :o

A meeting with the musical spirit awaits.

Which of these concert experiences were the best one?

U2+Muse. Seeing two of my favorite bands from very very close (I was in the inner circle) was amazing.

LCD Soundsystem was great too, so emotional because I knew it was the first and only chance to see them

I know :bomb: I'm so happy I can't believe it

thanks Mike :nice: :D

ohh and of course he is :o I've seen some dvd's and I'm always lie.. :o :dead:

no bands coming here as they are all over with you and your summer festivals :(

hoping big boi announces wellington show though

You know, some people in South American countries often talk about how no decent musicians ever play shows where they live, but they sure get a heck of a lot more good concerts than I do :blank:

Well this is definitely something new. In the past few years we were lucky if we had 3 decent shows each year. But they know we pay whatever they want for concerts. I'm not complaining but concert tickets are way too expensive here. The most expensive ticket for Paul McCartney costs more than 1000 usd (no backstage, etc). Coldplay's 1st show here cheapest ticket costed like 90 usd and so on.

This band called Painted Palms is opening for my of Montreal show, and I think they're quite good so I'm kinda excited to see them too.

I'm seeing The National and Fleet Foxes in the summer!!! :sunny:

Just saw Explosions in the Sky on Wednesday

Upcoming concerts...

May 13-The Besnard Lakes/Wintersleep

June 7-Other Lives

June 10-Andrew Bird

June 17-Beirut

Beirut

Suede, Hurts, Glasvegas and Iron & Wine - July 17th

May 27 - Aaron Gillespie most likely!!

This means I'll probably get to meet one of my heroes.

Going to Coachella (6 days!), Lollapalooza, and possibly Outside Lands festivals all this year, so I'll probably see a bazillion artists I haven't yet seen. Only two non-festival shows planned at the moment are U2 (Lenny Kravitz opening, meh) and Florence & the Machine, which I've seen before.

Beirut

can you recommend some songs? I don't really know anything by them... my brother just wanted to go

ARCTIC MONKEYS :awesome: in july, outdoors !

And I might see Beirut as well but I need the money first.

I'm still hoping I can see Switchfoot but probably the only way now is if I win the tickets or something because I don't think I'll get the money in time.

Ignite better have contests for them.

If I don't go this time I vow to go next time they're here, maybe there will be some awesome stuff on Vice Verses that will be great live.

waiting for the Osheaga lineup ;__;
