These, are the latest editions which I received from Prospekt´s March Ep.

I never saw any of them.

The first one it´s the regular European edition, but, used as promo in the UK. There´s a promo sticker over the barcode.

The second one it´s a japanese edition. The truth is that´s the european edition of the EP. An nice OBI has been added to this japanese edition. Under the barcode you can read "Made un EU". It´s curious to see as this european release has been used and "converted" for the japanese market.

Anybody has any of those versions?

Anybody has seen them in any place, ebay, records fairs?

I have indeed never seen them. I do have a similar Prospekt's March EP problem, but it's a US one. It says on the cd itself that it's a promo, but apart from a black marker strip in the barcode, nothing confirms that.

 

They both look really cool! They probably are worth quite something. How much did you pay for them if I might ask?

I saw your US promo copy. It´s quite strange that only a black marker appears to show that´s a promo copy. Anyway, if it´s not a fake, it´s an interesting cd!

 

One of the facts in which I confided to buy this cd, was that the seller was offering another UK promos as LIT II. Also, he was a serious seller from London. I also got some years ago another UK promos with exactly the same sticker on the backside as for example the Yellow UK CDsingle.

So, I don´t have any doubts, this is a real UK promo.

 

About how much I pay for them, I must say that I pay a ridiculous amount for the UK promo (only 8 euros, postage included!). And, for the japanese edition, I paid something more of 20 euros.

 

Also, this japanese edition, it´s strange... I have searched for more of this but I couldn´t find anything...

I don't think it's a fake because I've got the same thing with a VLVODAAHF release from the same seller. And it's very hard to duplicate a printed part on a CD.

 

Well the thing about your releases is that there is nothing known about both a EU promo of Prospekt's MArch or a Japanese Prospekt's march release. So I'm sure you did a good buy on both of them! And i would keep them in wrapping too :laugh3:

 

Now, I've got a request for you: could you make scans of both releases (just the front and back will do). I would like to use them for my website. It'll be a great addition because nothing can be found of these releases anywhere else. You're a collector too so you probably know that there's a need of a good Coldplay Discography Website and I would be forever grateful if you could help me out a bit.

Unfortunately, I don´t have a scanner (Sorry, it´s a lie. I have an old one but it doesn´t work in my Macintosh... :\). I´ll try to do my best and search someone who will be able to scan those cds for your website. It probably will take some time... but you can count with those scans.

 

And speaking about scans, do u have the Argentinean Promo of VLVODAAHF/Prospekt´s March Ediiton? I´m looking for good scans of both disc of this nice release. I have a sealed copy of this and don´t want to open it, but, would like to have some good scans of those disc, cos both are printed with "Venta prohibida" on surface.

 

When do u think you will finish your discography site? I´m sure I will make more than 1 vistit to it! ;)

Yes both CD's have the exact same white printed box on it saying the same thing. it is very curious indeed and I don't know what to think of it :P But perhaps some day more of these will pop up and someone will know. I can't ask the one who sold it to me because they sell at least 100 CD's a day and I don't even think they knew that there was something weird about the CD.

I could swear I had picked some pictures from ebay from that release but appearently I didn't. i know what release you are talking about and it looked quite nice indeed. Sorry I can't help you though. Maybe I just misplaced them on my PC and they'll pop up one day. If I do bump into them, i'll let you know immediately.

 

Well I've had some problems with it and I've should've been online for quite some time now, but due to the problems I'm forced to make the website again from scratch. It'll look nicer but I don't think I'll be online before the end of September.

Is it bad that I don't own any of them? Yes. I'll answer that for myself. It is bad. I'm so cheap that I got my CDs from the library and put them on my iPod. I'll try and justify that my saying that I leave things lying around so much that I'll probably step on them and break them. No really, you'd be surprised at how many I've broken by stepping on them. It's depressing. But that's really no excuse, is it?

 

I feel pretty bad about it, though, because I really should be giving Coldplay my patronage. So I think I should make some sort of August resolution to actually get hard copies of their CDs. It's like a New Year's Resolution but in August, a month that doesn't even have any holidays to claim I'm making a resolution for.

I think one customer more or less wouldn't really affect them in any way, no worries :P. A lot of us on here (including me) are record collectors and it's almost our job to have loads and loads of cd's preferably promo's and such. So comparing yourself to any of use will only make you feel bad.

 

But if you want to do Coldplay any favour in return for their music, donate some money to Oxfam or something like that. This way you don't waste money on cd's you'd probably lose or break and you kind of repay. And you'd feel incredebly noble of course :P

At least your supporting the record industry by renting from a library, as the library would have purchased the CD (at a marked-up-price) instead of illegally downloading it ;)

the booklets are the viva normal,and the prospekts with the violet hill vid pics.

The back has the same yellow code,with a sticker that says "Product For South America,except Brazil"...

There´s no a note over the cds surface which says "Venta Prohibida"?
