I once had the contraceptive rod put in my arm... and proceeded to bleed what appeared to be black for about three months straight. Only after three months didmy doctor decide, 'dur, better tayk dis fing owt'. I saw it taken out, it looked like a bit of my flesh had fused onto the thing (which was a smallish white rod), was kinda cool. Apart from aforementioned bleeding. This is why I am so accustomed to pads.
