So they're just re-releasing Definitely Maybe and What's the Story on a double disk? :P

Oh yeah, cos they haven`t had any hits since then  apart from 3 number one albums, 4 number 1 singles and 6 top 5 singles.

Yeah, can really see your point.

Calm yourself.

It was sarcastic.

I personally think they haven't had a "hit" in nearly a decade and it's only their hardcore fans who believe otherwise. However that's my opinion. Who cares what I think

WIN A CHANCE TO SEE OASIS ON THE ROAD FILM IN A CITY OF YOUR CHOICE

For this and more Oasis news articles please click on the link http://www.oasisinet.com

As previously announced, Oasis will release their Best Of collection, Stop The Clocks on November 20th, 2006. To celebrate the release the album will be accompanied by the first ever on the road film of Oasis, Lord Dont Slow Me Down which will be screened in selected cities across the world in November. You and a friend could be among the first to see it and, even better, you can choose where in the world you go, and get there for free. If thats not enough you also get five days accommodation thrown in for good measure. From Tokyo to New York and Sydney to London, once the venues are confirmed one lucky winner will be able to choose their dream destination.

To win this superb opportunity, it seems appropriate that you have to prove yourself the ultimate Oasis fan. Whilst we all know that“Stop The Clocks will be with us in November, the tracklisting is, at the moment, a closely guarded secret, having been chosen by the band from their incredible collection of songs. What we want you to do is tell us what you think the 18 tracks are and the running order in which they appear on the album. Weâ€ve already revealed that Acquiesce, Half The World Away, Supersonic, Wonderwall and The Importance of Being Idle are on there, which leaves 13 tracks to add and the running order to decipher.

To enter the competition check out http://www.oasisinet.com/stoptheclocks or visit the home page of the oasis site http://WWW.OASISINET.COM

cool! Always wondered when "Lord dont slow me down" is going to be released...

The songs for 'Stop The Clocks', released on November 20, was selected by the band themselves and had previously been kept secret.

This led to much speculation as to what would appear on the album - and several incorrect lists emerged.

However, the group have now announced their true selections.

'Rock 'N' Roll Star'

'Some Might Say'

'Talk Tonight'

'Lyla'

'The Importance Of Being Idle'

'Wonderwall'

'Slide Away'

'Cigarettes & Alcohol'

'The Masterplan'

'Live Forever'

'Acquiesce'

'Supersonic'

'Half The World Away'

'Go Let It Out'

'Songbird'

'Morning Glory'

'Champagne Supernova'

'Don't Look Back In Anger'

The band are also set to release their first film, 'Lord Don't Slow Me Down', around the record's release

I`ve made up a CD with all those tracks on, and t`s actually a pretty good "hits" album, little pissed about no Gas Panic or Stop Crying though

surprise, surprise - there's nothing from 'be here now' ... I don't understand why they don't like the album anymore

anyways, nice tracklisting :nice:

Oasis

Any Oasis fans here?

OASIS LIVE FOREVER:rolleyes:

I'm a massive Oasis fan from time to time.

Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants is my favorite by them. And Don't Believe The Truth

Bump :)

I love Oasis!!! Been listening to them a lot lately

I concur with Sarah here. We need to have Don't Go Away and Stand By Me on this thing.

D'ya know what I mean?

'Who Feels Love' deserves to be in there.

yep, true. those are excellent tracks...

Sunday morning call deserved to be there as well

I know it will never ever show up on an Oasis Best Of Compilation, but I really think Roll It Over off of Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants, is one of their best, and it's my favorite song. Totally agree with Sunday Morning Call there, and Who Feels Love.

Ooooooh Roll It Over :nice:

I love that song too! And is 'All around the world' in there? Totally should if it's not.

anyone seen the "lord don't slow me down" film trailer yet? it's awesome in my opinion... looks really nice, amazing crowd moments (memoriiiees!) :cheesy:

it would be too great to watch it in the cinema (lucky you, if you're able to!) but a dvd should be kinda nice as well, hehe. can't wait!

oh, and I think I like the new song, btw :nice:

hey you guys, im new at this thread, but i've liked Oasis for about 4 years now, they've never really been on my top 5 fav list, but lately i've been listening to them alot.

The first album that got me into them was Be Here Now, by the way, cuz i noticed u guys were mentioning it. My FAV song on that, even more than Stand By Me, is The Girl in the Dirty Shirt, and its such a shame how underrated that song is (at least i think it is). I also brought for them Morning Glory, Dont Believe The Truth and Heathen Chemistry.

I need to check out some more of their stuff, because they're really a good band. So I'll check around here more often to see whats going on :)

Yea, Be Here Now is where I started with Oasis too. It's Getting Better Man is my fave off that one.

If ever there was an Oasis song that sounded like the Verve wrote and performed it, and Liam just put in vocals, it's gotta be Roll It Over.
