There are 3 major bands for me in my life Coldplay (obviously) U2 and Oasis. My favourite Oasis song is probably Rockin Chair and my favourite album would have to be Morning Glory.

Before I get off, tell me what you think of this.. There's been a fan following me around since I got here carrying a sign that says, in fluorescent lettering, NOEL OR DIE! That girl was waiting for me at the airport. With the sign. "NOEL OR DIE". What does it mean!? I did try and ask her, sadly all she was interested in was a bloody picture. I then used the tried and tested English method for international communication; I asked her really ..slowly.

 

"WHAT ...DOES ...IT ...MEAN?"

 

She looked at me like The Mighty I looks at me when I'm asking him something.

 

"THE SIGN ...WHAT ...DOES ...IT ...MEAN?"

 

She replied very slowly with two simple words.

 

"SIGN? ...YES"

 

That's got to the bottom of that then, eh? I'm glad I AM Noel though. Wouldn't want to die, or anything.

Oasis To Take Five-Year Break

 

Noel Gallagher plots a solo album and calls his brother Liam "rude, arrogant, intimidating, and lazy."

 

Noel Gallagher appreciates your business, but he'd like you to know that the current wait time for a new Oasis album is approximately five years.

 

"By the time we make another record we'll be five years older," he told Q Magazine.

 

Why the wait? Well, the Britpop frontman seems keener than ever to follow through on his solo album plans. Plus, he's lacking motivation to write new Oasis material.

 

"Even before the end of making each Oasis album, I've always started writing the next one, and I haven't this time," he said. "I don't 
want to force it."

 

Which is not to say that he's lacking tunes. "I've got a lot of songs lying around and some of them are really great," he said. "But they're not Oasis songs. They're going to sit there and do nothing, so hopefully at the end of this tour I'm going to go and do something for myself."

 

Noel's brother, Oasis singer Liam, might also have something to do with the musical selfishness, as their notoriously contentious relationship shows no signs of easing. Noel gives us an idea of the family dynamic: "He's never seen my little lad [son], just pictures," he said. "To a stranger it sounds ludicrous, but you wouldn't have him in the house if he spoke to you the way he speaks to me and my family."

 

And what sort of sweet words does Noel use to describe his bro? "He's rude, arrogant, intimidating, and lazy. He's the angriest man you'll ever meet. He's like a man with a fork in a world of soup."

The video is referring to Princess Dianna, I think its about how she was apparently using drugs and doing the things in the video and it was covered up by the royal family. The bit at the end when they refuse to shake her hand I think is cause they know that shes fake. When oasis first broke out they visited buckingham palace and maybe its a comment on how royality are fake. imo. great video! also noel apparently used drugs in the queens bathroom haha.

a solo album would be great, imo. i love noel's solo gigs, so why not... :)

I often say Definitely Maybe is their best album, but Be Here Now is my favorite. I always defend that album and wish they would play more songs of it live.

 

I mean... Stand by Me, All Around the World, I Hope I Think I Know, My Big Mouth, D'You Know What I Mean, Don't Go Away etc. are all great songs.

 

Noel's probably going to do his solo album next. Really, really look forward to that. There was a song that he played at a soundcheck recently that someone recorded and uploaded on to Youtube and that sounded really great.

Yeah, he called it 'If I had a Gun....'

 

He also has songs like 'I wanna live in a dream (in my record machine)' and 'stop the clocks' which haven't been officially released.

 

But liam is having NONE of it!!
