"Someone, who can only be described as a “Canadian” was able to get onstage, somehow managed to evade our crack security team (Trotters Independent Security Service) and assaulted my mid-riff."

Anybody else reading Tales from the middle of nowhere?

Yeah, sounds like he's taking it fairly well, all things considered. Freaky how he knew something was going to happen that night, though.

"Can’t say much more than that as the “perpetrator’s” gonna get the book thrown at him. Repeatedly." :laugh3:

Noel Gallagher solo album on its way?

Noel on booze: "I can drink all fucking day and night and it doesn't put a dent in me."

"Loads of new songs…they're all brilliant"

Noel Gallagher has admitted that he'd like all of the members of Oasis to record solo albums following Dig Out Your Soul. However, fans shouldn't start thinking about pre-ordering CDs just yet.

In a recent reader Q&A for US magazine Blender, Noel was asked when he'd finally make a solo album.

"I'd like for us to do separate projects after this record." Noel revealed. "We'd all have to agree on it, so it will probably never happen. I've got loads of new songs. Somewhat predictably, they're all brilliant."

"We need to concentrate on fucking women, taking drugs, wearing sunglasses and being cool. Never mind the polar bears."The ever-quotable Oasis star was also far from reticent with regard to his feelings about Radiohead and Coldplay:

"Radiohead and Coldplay think too much. They get to a certain level and start worrying about the environment.

"That's for the governments of the world to worry about. We need to concentrate on fucking women, taking drugs, wearing sunglasses and being cool. Never mind the polar bears."

And on Jay-Z covering Wonderwall at Glastonbury: "It was pretty funny. But I'm not sure one should be seen in public with a white Stratocaster."

He comes across as an utter cunt.

And for the record, I despise Oasis, and everything they've ever done.

It seems as if he lives in a very unbeautiful small world and has never heard of the Karma Police:whatever:

I an proud of this Canadian that has costed them Millions! I couldn't stop laughing when i saw the video. And Liam trying to be a badass...only to look like a flamer.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Noel's just a big troll, hes the equivelant of the person who goes 'this band sucks, or you suck' on the message forum for attention.

1 show pushed back until December and 1 cancelled show, not really costing them millions.

Noel speaks his mind, if someone asks him a question he will answer it.

^Yep. And his tongue is firmly in his cheek for a lot of his answers. It's part of how his humor works. For instance, hey look- Oasis on a charity album: http://www.chartattack.com/news/60508/give-listen-and-help

He has nice things to say too, like this: "Chris Martin’s a friend of mine. And I think Radiohead’s guitarist, Jonny Greenwood, is a f___ genius. Every time I see them live they blow me away."

Ok, so the guy has a bit of an ego (and please name me just one performer who doesn't btw). He says what he thinks rather than be PC about everything and he has perhaps said some not very nice things about 1 or 2 other singers/bands you like. But he deserves to violently assaulted from behind? Come on mate, you're better than that aren't you?

As for the album leak, I really don't know whether to download it. For anyone else I would, but for my favourites I usually feel I should avoid the illegal versions and buy the thing the day it comes out. But the sample clips I've heard are so good that it's so tempting knowing I could be minutes from hearing it.

Ummmmm. im a Oasis fan. I think their in my top 4 bands and yeah. i dont have all their songs and ablums I only have a bunch of 8 songs i think...... But I think their old songs were fantastic! I think the new single "shock of lightning" is pretty average and not impressive...... its bad to see them in this direction but yeah its my opinion . hoping hte next single song isbetter if not then i wont be interested in the album..... maybe ,,,,,lets see how the public reacts..

I am not so sure about my favourite album of them anymore.

But still, I'd stick to Definitely Maybe. One of the few albums that have meant a lot to me a one point in my life. <3

Yeah. It Sounds insanely good.

Man, they aren't even trying anymore.

Simply a waste of time listening to that - wish I had done something else.

Sad to say they have become even more stale than they were 2 albums ago. Last one was a slight imporovement but only just.

I almost knew all the melodies one first listen.

yah its leaked, i will get a listen.

i think "shock of the lightning" has to be of their best song titles ever, regardless of whether or not the song is any good ;)

course, it is, so the point is moot

I couldn't disagree more with that post.

Well, yeah.....you may disagree.....but I'm still right. :sneaky:

It's obviously down to taste - and I feel that if this was their second album Oasis would be struggling. But since their first and second albums have some great songs they are riding the 'life long, fanatical fan wave' now and probably will until they die.

Unless they create a great album in the future of course.

I was a huge Oasis in my mid teens and bought all singles at like 8am so I could hear new B-Sides.....the magic has faded now. They have had a couple of alright songs but I think after "Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants" it was always going to be hard for them to win me over again....I'm waiting.
