When he first came out the door he seemed like he'd be ok, but as soon as we asked for stuff signed and photos he was just very distracted and had his eye on his car (which had the engine running ready) the whole time.

He got a bit shirty when Kara was saying how to spell her name too...

I see. :\ Well judging by the video is not a good thing to do as people will always act differently when they know they are being filmed. From that same year my experience with him was varied. In Houston, he arrived with Gwyneth by limo ( they had just started dating) and went right inside not stopping to talk to anyone. Later, the local radio station had an interview scheduled with him and had a table set up outside in a roped off section right where everyone was lined up and when it came time, they moved the table inside the venue where we could see, but not hear. I asked the DJ after why they moved and he said it was at Chris' request. After the show, same thing, he exited with Gwyneth and didn't talk to fans or sign anything. Everyone blamed her. :\ Later in the tour in Cleveland, he came out spent around 30-40 minutes talking with people, signing stuff and taking pics.

 

I guess it could have been worse, he could have blew right past you all and got in the car. Still, it doesn't sound like such a good encounter. :(

To be honest we were a bit dissapointed with how much he rushed everyone - there was only us and a couple of other people, yet he really hurried to get away and seemed distant :\

Not the best encounter with one of my heroes, but still lovely to meet him and say hello. :)

 

We also gave him a note for the band, basically saying thankyou for the music and we can't wait for the next album. Then I put "tell Jonny thankyou for inspiring me to pick up a guitar - the man's a legend" at the end :laugh4:

 

Dunno if he'd show them or not, but he said thankyou and took it so who knows.
