Wow I just went to Coldplay.com and wasnt expecting anything interesting and then *poof* a new prospekt entry comes up! I really like the title Strawberry Swing. And at least now theyre talking about how long they're gonna take with mixing and stuff. No thanks to that Q article, we all had the idea they had finished mixing the album!

Anyway still no release date, but I'm very happy that theres finally a new journal. :D

 

EDIT: Haha, just saw the "PS. Album Title is not Prospekt!" That made me smile. Shows that theyre in tune with the rumours going around.

Back home for a few days. A brief rest before the final push.

 

Another four or five weeks and we should be home and dry: another ten mixes to re-recording one of the songs from scratch. In times gone by I would have set aside a month to re-record a track. However, the week before Christmas, we recorded two tracks in four days - Lovers In Japan and Strawberry Swing. On the fifth day (Friday), Chris put down new lyrics (and new melodies) on two other tracks. It was far and away the most productive and exciting week we've ever had in the studio. I was buzzing all through Christmas.

 

Since then, mixing has been slow and painstaking but that's just the nature of the beast. So... give us another month or so and we might just have an album worthy of your patience.

 

Prospekt.

I'm so glad they finally put up a new entry. The new tracks sound really cool. But I really hope they release every track they've mentioned. If they don't, I think I may drive myself crazy wondering what they sound like.

Allright, finally all the prospekt album title debates can end. I'm also glad that it's not going to be called prospekt. Never really cared for it.

I put the new information on wikipedia! I've never done that before:D

I think they are finishing the album by next month. My guess is it's still going to come out in late May, Early June, just in time for the 3 year anniv of X&Y.

that's a great news about the album.

i like the strawberry swings and lovers in japan both are so lovely names of tracks.

but how that'ld be must still listen.
